I just love this place. Being in the publishing industry, the books and use of paper certainly appealed to me. We arrived on a Monday so unfortunately the restaurant was not open that evening, nevertheless the bar food was nice (good choice of healthy stuff) and the cocktail menu was unique and adventurous. The menu design was very cool too.... More

Great hotel, friendly staff, location is right near tram and subway stops. Plenty of restaurants nearby as well as one in the hotel. There is so much detail in every part of this hotel - makes for a unique stay! Beds are comfortable, rooms are small but cosy. The breakfasts are the best I can remember. I recently started eating... The Michelberger is a great hotel. The vibe is so Berlinesque. The perfect place to feel like home when away from home. The bar and what other hotels would call the reception area is great for hanging out, for reading a book or woking a bit.The Michelberger has a wide selection of rooms, from (really) small ones to huge boutique... The hotel has a great design and the staff are cool. Also in the evenings the bar and restaurant are trendy and lively. The location is close to the S-Bahn and between to fun neighborhoods- Friedrichshain and Kreuzberg. What's not to love!

I booked this on recommendation for a weekend away with my boyfriend. It was genuinely just an amazing place to stay. The decor is so cool and every single detail down to the 'do not disturb' signs are fab. We had a cosy room so found it great value for money for such a nice place to stay, the kingsize... More

LOVED LOVED LOVED this hotel! :) The individuality and personality of the design, plus the laid-back feel definitely added to our enjoyment of our 4 night stay here. We booked a loft room, so pretty steep ladder/stairs up to the mezzanine level where our futons were but we had no problems with them, and slept very well. I like to... More

We had a 4 sister meet-up in Berlin and stayed at the Michelberger because we loved the look of it. I wasn't sure 3 of us in one room would work, but actually it was great - there were 3 futon like mattresses on a mezzanine/loft (with a bed option on the lower level if one of us wanted to... More

Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighborhood Profile
Friedrichshain
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
