My birthday boy and I shared a wonderful long weekend@ the wonderful MB hotel, every one there we're so relaxed and accommodating, we asked for early check in which was great as flight was early in the morning! The weekend went beautifully the hotel reception area was warm and inviting, early evening bought in a wonderful mixed bag of Berlin... More

Stayed here for 2 nights with a friend and we both loved this hotel. Staff are very friendly and helpful, the room and decor are super cool and trendy. Lobby and bar area downstairs was the perfect place to chill out after a day of sightseeing in Berlin. Would agree with some other guest reviews regarding how hot the room... More

This is my second trip to the hip Michelberger, having stayed 3 years ago. It remains a unique hotel, with a real attention to the important details while being relaxing and cool. I stayed in a loft room - perfect for the work trip as has a large desk area. The winter sun coming in the large front windows was... More

Found the staff here to be extremely friendly and helpful, gave us an adapter for our stay, printed off tickets for us and generally helped us get around Berlin. The room whilst small didn't feel claustrophobic due to very high ceilings and big windows, they maximise the space they have. The lobby was a really cool place to chill out... More

We stayed at the Michelberger Hotel in February for 3 nights while attending awesome photography workshop. Interior was fun, service was really good, our room was perfect for 3 night stay and drinks at the bar were SUPER tasty! We loved the vibe! It's very hip and creative space. We also loved breakfast and coconut water made by Michelberger. Very... More

Stayed here for 2 nights with my partner in Feb after staying 5 nights at an air bnb apartment. We stayed in a luxus (chalet) room, which was fantastic - the bath and quirky and stylish decorations and projector were wonderful. Nice touches like bath robes, cake in your room on arrival, etc. However we had two poor night's sleep:... More

Absolutely loved our weekend stay at Michelberger. It was a first time visit for my husband and I. Hotel is a lot of fun, relaxed and comfortable as well as clean. Only negative from me would be the pillows. They were not comfortable at all unfortunately, even when I asked for additional pillow, it didn't add much to the comfort.... More

This is a quirky very trendy hotel in the East Berlin area. The rooms are basic but comfortable. The hotel attracts a multitude of different travellers which makes for great people watching. The hotel bar area is really relaxing and we spent most evenings nursing a red wine just taking it in. The restaurant does lovely food, my only down... More

I stayed here a couple of nights whilst in Berlin. The bar area is great and all the staff are incredibly friendly and happy to help. I was in room 102 which was a surprise with the bunk bed thing which took a bit of time to get used to. I would stay here again

I have stayed in many hotels around the world but this has to be one of the most memorable and most original. Loved the bar. Great DJ music. Breakfast awesome. Wished I could have taken away some of their fab coconut water and eau de vie.

Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighborhood Profile
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
