Second time on this great hotel. We were 6 friends travelling together and for that purpose this hotell is excellent. 2 big rooms with sleeping beds for 9 persons although we were only 6 in our group. Easy accessed from the tram/S-Bahn/U-Bahn station Warchauer Strasse. If you are travelling from Tegel Airport take the TXL express to Alexanderplatz and then... More

Big room for family of 4 ('Band Room'), thought through and funky. Great bar/ cafe. reception area to relax. Excellent breakfast and dinner. Missed a gym & reading lights for the lower beds but otherwise a really great hotel.

Michelberger Hotel is situated in the vibrant neighborhood Friedrichshain. With the Warschauer strasse train station right across the street you have an easy access to the city center and other places you would like to visit. The hotel is cool and lively through out all the 24 hours. On the first floor there is a cozy café during day time... More

Really enjoyed a 2 night stay here for work. As we were tired and busy it was great to stay somewhere with really great food, atmosphere, bar and music, at an affordable price. Bar was great, restaurant was great. Really nice touches. Small room but fine for a couple, space to store luggage, get dressed etc. Lots of nice touches... More

Some letters of the sign outside where out of order. Not a good sign. i mean this place is overhyped and too expensive for what it is. 18 euro to rent a bike? come on! The room, well what can i say... airco not working. folds outside the window going up and down by itself. no telephone in the room... More

I went with 2 friends and we were upgraded to a large room with 8 bunk beds and 2 bathrooms. Plenty of room for only the 3 of us. Like many "designer" hotels, the lighting is not great, so I wouldn't recommend it for a business trip if you actually need to work. But we weren't working--we were enjoying the... More

Definitely a neat hotel design-wise. I really enjoyed all the little design touches and bits of personality throughout my stay. My room was clean, though I'm not sure if comfortable would be a good word to describe it as there's no carpet/rug and the pillows were very flat - I had to use 2. Lots of hot water for the... More

Coolest hotel we ever been. Very minimal, style and design are exactly what we like. The location is perfect if you like clubbing, nightlife and love street art. Staff is very friendly and prices are reasonable. We definitely will go there again.

My friend and I stayed here for 4 nights and really liked this hotel. The location was perfect- train station right across the road with easy access to the city centre. The East side gallery is less then a 5 minute walk away as well as a great area with plenty of pubs and restaurants. Only complaint i would have... More

I stayed at the hotel at April and it was one of my favorite parts of Berlin!, we arrived at 09:30 and our room was ready, the hotel is a bit far from the center of the city but it has a train station outside the hotel so you can get from the hotel to anywhere you want. The room:... More

Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighborhood Profile
Friedrichshain
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
