I stayed here a couple of nights whilst in Berlin. The bar area is great and all the staff are incredibly friendly and happy to help. I was in room 102 which was a surprise with the bunk bed thing which took a bit of time to get used to. I would stay here again

I have stayed in many hotels around the world but this has to be one of the most memorable and most original. Loved the bar. Great DJ music. Breakfast awesome. Wished I could have taken away some of their fab coconut water and eau de vie.

My third time in Berlin, my girlfriend's first, and what a great place to have for exploring more of this fabulous city. Michelberger has it all, the space, the ambience, the food, great drinks, and some of the best staff you will find on this side of the fourth dimension. The rooms are great, with enough space to feel like... More

Fantastic, the room was clean and lovely. It was a little like a private hostel room but with really nice touches like Kiely Orla soap, shampoo and shower gel, cool little branded bags and booklets along with nice glasses and water etc. It was very cosy and clean. The restaurant was like it was michelin starred, very nice food (not... More

Only visited the lounge area, but its definitely a most do if you are nearby. Relaxing lounge with cool interior design. Enjoy a meal or a bottle of beer. Great selection and not expensive. Next time I'm in Berlin, a stay over at the hotel is on the list!!

I'm quite torn about this place - heaps of character and unique touches, but ultimately lacking the professional edge that more bland chain hotels deliver so reliably. The onsite restaurant is excellent, with much more light & healthy options than is usual in a german hotel! In order to properly appeal to the haircuts of berlin then it has a... More

Very trendy and with a very strong Berlin feeling to it. It's big and spacious and has a few big social areas: cafe/bar, restaurant and a great concept lobby where you can wait for friends or for your room to be ready. Saturday night was very busy and could be good for meeting people. Hotel is easy to get to... More

Couldn't fault this place. Room was fantastic and quirky - I loved the steps up to our bed and the huge window. Bar/lounge felt like a cosy welcoming home with reasonably priced drinks and a great atmosphere even with the few dodgy conversations that we overheard. Fab location if a little dodgy in places (Gorlitzer Park was an experience -... More

I stayed here on a recent trip to Berlin and spent a lot of time trying to decide which hotel to stay at. I'm so glad I picked this hotel for a lot of reasons. Firstly, I love the Big Lebowski so the fact it's on a permanent loop on tv's throughout the hotel was a big plus for me!... More

Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighborhood Profile
Friedrichshain
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
