The staff were very helpful, we didn't arrive until 9pm and the lady came from home to give us our key and showed us around. There is a lovely courtyard outside the building and the lift to the rooms was a scary novelty at 2am! The lofts are spacious and modern contrasting the outside factory look. Quick and free WiFi.... Two mates and I stayed in an apartment which was in the renovated factory-type building. The room was pleasantly decorated in a nice style and contained mini kitchen (with cutlery and condiments), fridge, table and chairs, sofas, television, comfy beds, towels, and the bathroom had sink, shower and toilet. Everything we could have needed. The building was quiet, safe and... More

This is not just a hotel, it is something more than a hotel. Large apartments with a kitchenette. If you want to save money on eating out you can even cook there - there are all you need for this tool, and even spices such as salt and pepper. IMA is particularly suitable for those who like to party, because... More

My family of 4 stayed 4 nights in June. We stayed on 4th floor unit but it was more like 6th floor hike due to not counting ground floor as 1st floor and some between floor levels. Elevator never worked but I think they are working on it to fix it. Shower you have to be careful or you will... More

I had reserved 3 nights from 29.06.2013 to 02.07.2013 at this place through booking.com and they have cancelled it today (18.06) because it is closed for some refurbishments. ccording to Booking.com they should have advised them and they should have provided us with an alternative at the same price. Which they DID NOT do. This is very unprofessionnal from their... More

The apartment was a good size and reasonably clean and comfy. The staff at check-in were very friendly. However, the noise from the construction site literally yards from our door woke us up early each morning, which would have been ok if we hadn't already been awake all night listening to the rowdy drunks in the courtyard. The lack of... More

My son and I stayed here in May for about a week in a mini loft. We really loved the area which was handy to central Berlin and was lively and interesting. We also loved staying at IMA Loft apartments, which were extremely handy to a great street with restaurants, bars and cafes (Orienstrasse), and to three U-bahn stations. We... More

Lovely big apartment that comfortably slept 5 of us. Very comfy beds and well equiped. As previously said it's not the most beautiful part of town but the area is lively andf well located. The staff at reception were very helpful and helped us with maps, resterauntas etc. Many thanks for a great trip.

I loved that the lofts are surrounded by cafes, artists' studios, a dance studio, and close to plenty of good restaurants. Makes for a great atmosphere even if it isn't the prettiest part of town. We hired bicycles for two days and found Berlin very easy to get around. We had a 3-person apartment (2 upstairs, 1 downstairs on a... More

Stayed for 2 nights in July 2012. The room we had was quite spacious (much better than a subsequent apartment at the circus hostel) but the lofts aren't really that near any hustle and bustle. As we stayed on the weekend, the built in cafe wasn't actually open so in contrast to places like the circus or die fabrik, you... More

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighborhood Profile
Kreuzberg
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighborhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and 60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and 90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighborhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
