Pro's: The location is close enough to the city centre and real near by the nice Prenzlauer Berg. You can access th e s-bahn and Metro real easy. Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpfull. Breakfast was very good. Skybar is very nice as well. Parking was good, right under the hotel. Rooms are clean and big enough. cons: Rooms are... More

Andels Berlin has had a lot of reviews, so I don’t have a lot to add as my experience was the same as most other reviewers. The room was very clean and modern, although I did find the wifi signal to be very weak in parts of the room, but in other parts it worked fine. The breakfast was of... More

I don't understand all of the bad reviews for this hotel. We stayed here on our first trip to Berlin and received more than we had expected. Beds were comfy, breakfast was great and had a huge selection, and the sky bar was a great way to end the trip. Definitely added to the enjoyment of the holiday knowing you... More

Spent 3 nights here last weekend with two other family members. Arrived early but that wasn't a problem and we got immediate access to our rooms. Even had we not, this would not have been a problem as we intended to (and did) start our exploration of the city straight away. the reception staff were very haelpful (as was the... More

It is my first time in Berlin and booked this hotel although I had read mixed reviews about it. It is quite brilliant and both my brother and I enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is literally across the road from the metro and the U-Bahn hence public transport accessibility is brilliant. I found the staff to be as helpful... More

I really don't understand the negative reviews lately, this hotel ticked all the boxes for me. Excellent for transport links anywhere around the city and perfect for the airport. €27.50 for an unlimited 3 day pass to travel on trams, trains, buses, underground and the tram stop was at the hotels front door, just 7 mins to Alexanderplatz. The hotel... More

The Hotel is really nice with good design and a sky bar on the 14th floor with a breathtaking view of Berlin. However the service is poor and the receptionists at the front desk were cold, plain and simple. I highly advise to avoid going with a voucher as the Hotel seems to have double standards with customers and did... More

I'm here right now and i will never stay here again. If i could i would check out early. Room temperature: i have told them three times that even though i have the thermostat at the lowest setting the room is still very warm. It is zero degrees outside but i have the window open. Each time they said they... More

Dear Eric, thank you for your feedback. We hope you accept our dearest apologies for the sum of inconveniences you described. In fact our A/C is in winter mode and does not cool down the room as in summer time. Still it brings our rooms to a temp around 20 degrees Celsius. Currently, we are reviewing our internal communications due... More

A comfortable stay in a modern hotel just 6 tram stops from the city centre. We travelled easily from the tram stop immediately outside the hotel to Alexander Platz and Potsdamer Platz and took the underground to other locations without any difficulty. Easier to get a travel ticket from the hotel concierge than to work out the ticket machine on... More

My husband was booked into Andel's for a business meeting and, reading the reviews, I was tempted to extend the booking for a weekend visit of the city. Thank goodness I didn't. First of all the location: granted there is a U-bahn stop outside the hotel for trips into the city, but the immediate surroundings of the hotel are of... More

Dear Clairey973, thank you that you took your time to review. We hope you accept our apology for the inconveniences you described, as nothing but offering the most enjoyable experience for our guest is what we work for every day. In fact, our sky.bar was fully booked that night. Yet it is very occasional and always displayed on a sign... More

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
