Modern hotel in quiet location with good public transport links. Rooms are not the biggest but adequately sized with comfortable beds. The location is reasonably quiet but ask for rooms at the back and away from the road. Good breakfast (buffet).

I can't think of any reason for criticism - simply loved this place! Although we initially chose it for its location (close to Tegel airport and next to U-Bahn) we were very happy with the hotel itself. It's modern yet cozy, clean and unpretentious. Friendly staff, great breakfast and again just what you need if you prefer Western Berlin on... More

the hotel is extremely conveniently located for those who are interested in opera as Deutsche oper is just a short walk away. There is also nearby shopping area in Wilmersdorfer Arcade and nice local produce market on Saturdays. plenty of small eateries with various cuisine options around. U bahn stop 100 m from hotel. hotel itself is clean and well... More

A clean, nice hotel with very reasonable rates. It is located in West Berlin in the Wilmersdorf section. The rooms are small but comfortable and you can walk in 5 minutes to the subway stop. They have free wifi in the room which is good for email, a bit slow for more sophisticated features. The staff is friendly and helpful,... More

Clean hotel and good buffet breakfast selection. Likes: 1. Friendly staff. 2. Location 3. Buffet Breakfast 4. Clean and tidy 5. Free wifi Dislikes: 1. Poor wifi connection from the room 2. Stupid show setup which gave no privacy. Is suitable if travelling with your partner, but not so if with family or friends

I spent 2 nights at Leonardo's thanks to the friendly price and the proximity to the Opera House in the west part of Berlin. Very close to Bismarckstraße underground station (U-Bahnhof), Leonardo's location is slightly off the beaten path, but with easy access to Tegel airport -- 15 minutes by X9 or 109 bus), the zoo, Ku'damm, and the lovely... If you're a walker it is walking distance from Alexanderplatz and if your a really big walker you can walk over to the Bradenburg Gate. Me and my cousin arrived in Berlin the Day Germany won the world cup. We paid about $100 per night and it was very worth it. The Hotel and room were very clean and welcoming.... More

We needed an inexpensive hotel near the airport for a VERY early flight. The Leonardo fit the bill. It was easy to find (coming in from Hauptbahnhof) and the location is good (half a block from the UBahn). Reception was extremely friendly. Wifi worked well. We dropped off our luggage, headed out for Döner and pictures of the Brandenburg Gate,... More

My only real complaint was that the room was a bit tight, but it wasn't too bad. It was a short walking distance to the U-Bahn, and there are two really good restaraunts nearby - one is right across the street under a white awning, and the other is a little falafel and schwarma place that is open late, right... Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
