I spent 2 nights at Leonardo's thanks to the friendly price and the proximity to the Opera House in the west part of Berlin. Very close to Bismarckstraße underground station (U-Bahnhof), Leonardo's location is slightly off the beaten path, but with easy access to Tegel airport -- 15 minutes by X9 or 109 bus), the zoo, Ku'damm, and the lovely... If you're a walker it is walking distance from Alexanderplatz and if your a really big walker you can walk over to the Bradenburg Gate. Me and my cousin arrived in Berlin the Day Germany won the world cup. We paid about $100 per night and it was very worth it. The Hotel and room were very clean and welcoming.... More

We needed an inexpensive hotel near the airport for a VERY early flight. The Leonardo fit the bill. It was easy to find (coming in from Hauptbahnhof) and the location is good (half a block from the UBahn). Reception was extremely friendly. Wifi worked well. We dropped off our luggage, headed out for Döner and pictures of the Brandenburg Gate,... More

My only real complaint was that the room was a bit tight, but it wasn't too bad. It was a short walking distance to the U-Bahn, and there are two really good restaraunts nearby - one is right across the street under a white awning, and the other is a little falafel and schwarma place that is open late, right... We stayed at the Leonardo for 3 nights. It was during the Christmas market period and we were delighted with the service provided by the hotel. The receptionists were very helpful in terms of providing us with a map and marking all the areas and also suggesting how to get there! we had breakfast at the hotel. A little pricy... More

Pro: good location close to U-bahn station, good breakfast, clean room (see note below). Wifi was fine too. Con: don't forget to hang "no disturb" sign outside the door - the maid attempts to start cleaning before 9 am. The cleaning is generally ok, though. Double bed is just two beds put together and they keep sliding apart all the... More

We stayed here for four nights at New Year and enjoyed it very much. The room was bigger than I expected from the photo, with plenty of space for two. Good breakfasts with a wide range of choices (three kinds of honey alone!) and served until 1:30pm on 1st Jan. Convenient for the underground or a walk into town through... More

Used this hotel on a one night stay in berlin to see christmas markets, great location to the tube station (3-5 min walk). We were able to check in an hour earlier than check in time, which was useful. Hotel staff were friendly and spoke English. The room size was more than adequate for two adults, bedroom and bathroom both... More

Great value for a week or so stay in Berlin ! From Tegel Airport just take bus number 109 and you are here in 12 minutes. If you don't have a car would highly recommend purchasing a 7 day zone 1, 2, 3 transportation pass which covers U-bahn, S-bahn and buses - only 35.00 Euro per person. Check in was... More

Perfectly serviceable hotel. Leonardo are good value for money - clean room and friendly staff who allowed me to keep my luggage there after check in. The hotel is not in the centre from a tourist perspective but a UBahn is very close by.

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
