The rooms look exactly as in the pictures: wonderful! Well decorated, well equipped and comfortable. The thing is that we stayed in two different ones. At first we stayed in Diamant room. This one was perfect, everything. But the secong one, I think it was Rubin, had some bad things: the matress was too bad, it didn`t have a washing... More

We stayed in the Rubin apartment for over 2 weeks. The apartments is very warm, clean and roomy and I would highly recommend it. Simon and his staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Cafe Krone downstairs also had the best coffees in Berlin. Wonderful place to stay if you are visiting Berlin.

One of my colleagues recommended this apartment after staying there with some friends in June 2014. We chose Achat apartment which was big enough for our 2 families (4 adults +2 teenagers). There was enough room for the six of us. The flat was on the 4th floor but the steps were not too tiring. Everything was pristine clean and... More

We stayed for three nights in the Bernstein apartment and it really is first class. Roomy, clean and well maintained. Café Krone downstairs complements the apartment very well for an excellent breakfast. The area is well served by, trams, the U- Bahn and one stop away from the S- Bahn with direct links to Schoenenfeld airport. Oderberger Strasse is quiet... More

Both the apartment and the street are one of the best options in Berlin in terms of lodging and location for visiting the city. Prenzlauerberg deserves a calm visit, walking for its historical streets, following the Berlin Wall traces, and paying a visit to the Mauerpark market on Sunday morning, just two blocks from the apartment. Our apartment was perfect... More

We stayed here for the Berlin marathon with our 2 year old. The apartment is very well equipped with lost of space for us and the kid. There was one bedroom but it was big and we all slept in there. They offered a cot as well. It was on the top floor which meant a lot of steps which... More

We staid here for a week and it was excellent! The apartment was beautiful and close to everything! The Coffee house near the apartment is cute and it's nice to seat there, the street is cool there is good restaurants and beautiful shops. I would definitely recommend this place and come back :)

The apartment was comfortable, clean, quiet, and light with good local bars and restaurants within a 10 minute walk. As my friend describes, Prenzlauer Berg is the 'fancy' part of town and so if you're looking for a place to stay which is nice a quant this is the district for you.

Comfortable, quiet and clean apartment in wonderful area of Berlin. Great cafes and restaurants in the area, easy to get to the tourist haunts in the centre. Highly recommend the Sunday flea market in the park across the road. Plus an easy walk down to the Berlin Wall memorial. Simon and Ellie were helpful and the cafe downstairs is lovely.... More

I stayed in Apartment Jade. The apartment was really nice and very comfortable. The location was ideal, only 5 minutes by tram from Alexanderplatz The staff were really helpful too, even helping sort out a change of booking for me when I had to change my flight home. The next time I am in Berlin I will definitely be staying... More

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
