It's ~€27 taxi journey from Berlin airport (TXL) which takes ~45 in heavy traffic / 20 minutes in light traffic. Mine was a fleeting visit so can't confirm other reviews relating to the proximity of tourist attractions, but it's close to the businesses I was visiting in the centre (no more than ~€8 each way). The public areas are fresh,... More

We stayed here for the first leg of our honeymoon and could not fault it. The location was perfect for exploring Berlin. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome as soon as we arrived by checking us in early and providing us with a lovely surprise. Our room was enormous and immaculate, with... More

Booked last minute due to our flight to Barcelona being cancelled so decided to to go Berlin instead. The hotel is a 10 minute walk away from Alexancerplatz train/metro stations or a two stop tram journey on the M4 to Faulkenburg. On arrival we were met by very friendly and efficient staff who checked us in within minutes. Our room... More

Stayed for a weekend break. Staff were very friendly and the hotel was clean. Beds were terrible as were the pillows. Last morning awoke to the sound of carpet being torn up and relaid outside our room. No notice that this would be happening. Great location for the tram and very close to Mitte.

The service from the staff on arrival (by Viktor) as impeccable and he gave us printed directions to all the places we wanted to go to. We received a free room upgrade and the facilities were good. Stayed for 4 nights with a friend. Upon arrival at 11.30 PM we were checked in by the nicest receptionist ever, Jorje. He was kind, attentive and his smile made us fill welcomed! Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighborhood Profile
Friedrichshain
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
