My family and I stayed here for two nights. I emailed management 1.5 months in advance and requested that at least one of our two rooms have two twin beds in it. The manager replied and said of course. I emailed one more time a week before as a reminder and did not hear back. Of course when we checked... More

Our 2nd stay in winters hotel in Europe. This one is better compared to Munich's. Value for money. Good location. Friendly and helpful receptionist and housekeepers. Rooms are relatively small, good for single or couple stay. Very clean and all the amenities are there. The traffic can be quite noisy but we still manage to sleep well during our stay.... More

Roughly we paid 50pound for 3 nights. It's outside a u bahn and near checkpoint Charlie and really nice square and chocolate shop! Very clean and modern. Comes with a fridge to stock yourself and the shower was one of the best Ive used in years. Perfect pressure and adjusting heat. Staff were helpful and they even let you leave... More

For a four star hotel it was okay, room was spacious, but there are no drawers in the room, there are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room so when your leaving for work at 6.30am this is not good. All the hotels I've stayed in before in Berlin have had these. In the bathroom they could do with some... More

We stayed here for 3 nights. The staff were really friendly/helpful, we got a very cheap price and the location was great. The room was very small and could be noisy, mainly from loud guests and the room next doors toilet! Overall it was a nice experience but I would pay more next time and get a nicer hotel.

Great spot to many attractions! Close to several center too. U-Bahn rigt outside the door. Starbucks at the opposite corner - just a few meter away. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had a great stay here. Highly recommended :)

Great value! Comfortable and clean accomodation at a reasonable budget cost. Included full breakfast, with a great selection of offerings, was a bonus. Location can't be beat - within walking distance of most tourist attractions, easy public transit access, 30 minute walk from train station. Reception was friendly and helpful in guiding me through the city.

My wife and I plus two other travelers booked rooms at the Winters Hotel during a sightseeing tour of Berlin. The hotel is located in a convenient area of town with easy access to public transportation or within acceptable walking distance to shopping, restaurants and sites. The front desk service was excellent at this hotel. They were more than glad... More

I paid £45 per night for this hotel and was very pleased with value for money. The hotel was very central, clean and quiet. This hotel is just a bed though, the room was tiny and the breakfast seemed excessive €14pp per day - when there are coffee shops on every corner in Berlin! I would recommend this hotel if... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
