The hotel is in center of Berlin, near Gendarmenmarkt, Checkpoint Charlie, PotsdamerPlatz,... The Stadtmitte U-Bahn station is about 3 min walk! The standard rooms are small and haven't WiFi but they are comfortable. The staff is friendly. The breakfast is good and I hadn't problems with the refilling of things that had finished. I recommend this hotel!

The hotel is located in Berlin's center. It's close to stadmitte railway, checkpoint charlie,Gendarmenmarket etc. Also, in its corner you can find supermarket. We have arrived really late after midnight and felt welcomed by kind receptionist. We've stayed over 5 night and got an upgraded room on second floor which was very comfortable, clean and positioned to garden. There are only... More

Bed comfy. Room looked like pics. Staff friendly spoke very good English. Breakfast good choice of all sorts. Downside no evening meal available. Sunday shops closed apart from souvenir shops and cafes. Central for everything walking distance of Brandonburg gate 20 mins slow walk. 3 mins from stadmitte underground. Would diffently go again but first week of Dec when all... More

Stayed three nights and loved the hotel. Clean and fresch. We didnt eat in at the hotel, 14? for breakfast is too much. Theres a cafe and a store just around the corner. There is no wifi in rooms only in the spartan bar/entrance on ground floor. Hotel is close the U2 metrostation "Stadtmitte" witch makes it easy to travel... More

Lovely hotel in a brilliant location! You’re slap bang in the middle of everything. Checkpoint Charlie is only a 10min walk to the south and the Berlin Wall and Holocaust museum a little further on. Then it’s a 10-15min walk to in the other direction over to the Cathedral and other landmarks. It’s also about 15-20min walk up to the... More

Stayed at this hotel for a long weekend, chose it for the great location. It's right next to Gendarmenmarkt, so if you're sight-seeing, it's a great place to start. Close to museums etc. The rooms were nice, clean and seemed newly decorated. Nothing special though. The breakfast was not so good, there was a shortage of tables, so we had... More

This being my first trip ever to Berlin. This hotel was prefect. The location, the comfort and just a wonderful help staff. There lots of nice great restaurants within walking distance. Great shopping made you feel like you were fifth Ave. in New York. The day always started with a great breakfast in the hotel. I want to stay there... More

Well it's not far from the U2 subway line so easy to get about. Arrived early and originally advised no rooms available - but within a couple of minutes rooms had become available so that was a bonus. Only one lift and one morning that was out of order - but fixed by the time we got back from a... More

Great location from on-foot travel to the centre locations. Good windows, that protect from the noise - though hotel is near intensive traffic Leipcig street. Satiated breakfast and helpful personel. recommended

Very helpful and friendly staff, you are no more the 15 min walking from all the highlights. Checkpoint Charlie is only 5 min away, Museum island is 12 min away, Brahdenbourgh gate is 10 min away, you get the point. There is a store around the corner on Leipzigstrasse. Hop on/off bus is worth 20euro Both red and yellow line... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
