I attended a conference and stayed 3 nights at this hotel. I booked a superior room which was about the right level - Im not sure what anything less might have been like. For a city centere hotel the room was a good size but only had a large shower. You need to ask if you want a room with... More

The hotel is easy to find and well located to the metro. It is handy to many of the sights in Mitte. Its a modern functional looking hotel but also feels quote homely too. The welcomes we received at the front door and reception desk felt genuine and warm. This continued through the whole stay. Waiting staff, reception staff, cleaning... More

Well situated for tourists, the hotel is within walking distance to the museum island (about 7 minutes walk), shopping at Alexanderplatz (about 15 mins walk) and Gendarmenmarkt for restaurants and shops. There are also 2 U-Bahn stations (2 different lines) within 5 mins walk. Very convenient for exploring Berlin. The hotel room we were offered was rather small with 2... More

A good clean, modern room which was a good size. A great location to explore all the sights. The hotel lobby was spacious and welcoming and bar staff were friendly and personable. They made fabulous champagne cocktails!

What a find! As others have noted, the location is superb for exploring the heart of Berlin, and when you combine that with very comfortable, clean rooms, and excellent and attentive staff, and a pretty good breakfast, this hotel is quite the value. The room was larger than I was expecting, with a modern look despite it being Kennedy-themed. I... More

The rooms were clean, bar was nice had a good variety of alcohol for cocktails. It had my fav scotch whiskey. The room service was very quick compare to other hotels I've stayed at. The hotel was very close to the city to many attractions and restaurants. I would stay and recommend this hotel.

Great hotel for exploring Berlin. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the rooms are large and comfortable. The breakfasts were excellent with a large choice of well cooked and beautifully prepared food. The location of this hotel is fantastic in a good safe area with most of the sights within 15 minutes walk. There is also a metro station nearby.... More

Enjoyed a fantastic 5 day stay at this hotel. From the moment we arrived till we left we were looked after so well. Had a lovely room at the front with toiletries/tea & coffee making facilities. Views of the cathedral. The staff were extremely helpful. Very good location, especially for underground/buses/restaurants. The breakfasts are excellent with so much choice. It... More

great location, staff very helpful. Room lovely and large, even had a little kitchen. Everywhere very clean. Breakfast nice but expensive. Free wifi which worked well was a bonus. Easy to get around with transport links a few minutes away.

Lovely hotel. Rooms are big and clean, beds are comfortable and the staff are very nice. Location is 2 minutes from the nearest underground station, and 2 minutes away from 2 Christmas markets. Everything that tourists would want to see is so close together, that you sometimes can just walk rather than the underground - it's hard to explain but... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
