First of all, you have to think about the price. In these terms, you really get what you pay for. I didn't expect for 5 stars hostel and I was right. The hostel is a large apartment, with several rooms on a long corridor. Our room was big, with access to a small balcony. Nice. Shared bathroom, shared kitchen. Some... More

Absolutely lived our stay here. Feels more like a big family living in an apartment than a hostel. We had a double room for cheaper than what we pay for a dorm in most places, the room was huge and funky, and Fabuan himself is the one that really gives this place it's flair. He is warm and inviting and... More

An experience full of character, from the talkative hosts to the small, homey common room. It was easy to meet new friends and relax. The neighborhood is slightly out of the way for touristy stuff but the Turmstr station is a short walk (or Bellevue for a straight shot to the center) and there are plenty of hidden gems in... More

iis dirty, no free coffee, WIFI works bad. no heating. Discriminiation, some people don't pay, some people don't take off their shoes while others do. All depend on your sexual orientation

This is a place like no other on earth it has totally changed my life. I can never go back to the way things were before I came here. I came for a few days, reluctantly at first but after a while I decided to stay. There was something about the place, the people who came through that door...Berlin itself,... More

Staying in Moabit

Neighborhood Profile
Moabit
You may not realize Moabit is one of the city’s most central neighborhoods when you arrive at Hauptbahnhof (central station). Surrounded by waterways, Moabit is a quiet island protected from the hustle and bustle of Berlin. The crowds that do gather prefer spending their evenings in cozy restaurants over the party venues offered by other districts. With its beautiful parks, old housing and romantic industrial areas, life has traditionally been relaxed and a bit slower here. But the tone may soon be changing. Reasonable housing costs and proximity to city center are attracting more young Berliners and international visitors. This interest is encouraging new bars, cafés and nightclubs, making Moabit a candidate for most up-and-coming neighborhood in the city.
