Overall the best thing about this hostel, was that it is so close to everything. Mall of Berlin right around the corner, Alexanderplatz about 2km away and so on. Rooms were clean, there was no noise at nights and the staff was friendly. The only thing that bothered, wast that wifi was very unstable in the rooms, I had to... More

This hostel is a pretty neat place. It is close by the city center, 2 min from a metro stop, serves a decent breakfast buffet for an additional 5€, and there is a shower and a bathroom inside the 6 people room. The beds are a bit uncomfortable, but everything else is perfect. The staff is friendly, there is wifi,... More

I have emailed the hostel that I will reach around 12am to 1am at night and they said they have a 24 hour reception. When I reach the hostel around 1am they pass me the key and I went to the room allocated. There were 3 double decker bed and five was occupied. I found one with a sweater on... More

I've been to Berlin a couple of times and tried out a couple of hostels along the way but this was absolutely one of the best. We had a eight-bed-room and the beds were good. They had lockers in the room as well which was welcomed for us who was travelling around with a lot of luggage. Also good breakfast... More

Hostel is centrally located that's what you want when you are a solo traveller. U STATUION IS nearby. ROOMS were clean and well maintained. It's a big hostel so you will always find some vacancy. Reception was very helpful. Morning breakfast which is included in cost was really awesome.

Stayed here 3 nights over Christmas in a 6 bed dorm. Positives: Cheap to stay, location is good, close to nightlife, attractions, subway routes, food options. The rooms are clean, beds are comfy. 24 hour reception. Towels are no charge. Large common area with 24hr bar. Negatives: Outlets in the rooms are sparse. The doors close loudly no matter how... went on a 5 country holiday with my best friends and they did all the booking and such so I didn't actually regret having stayed there but it would definitely is a place I would never plan to go back. The location is good, walking distance from Charlie Checkpoint and other main attractions, also has a metro station very near... More

We stayed here for ten days! At first everything looked great bang in the middle of everything and room was tidy and big. Then 2 days after a man came and stayed in thé room he was sleep eating in the middle off the night and I can put up with snoring but this was stupid. He was vibrating the... More

Big hostel in Berlin's city centre (Brandeburg Gate is only 5 minutes walking) and really close to the metro station. It seems more a hotel than a hostel, it has big and clean rooms and bathrooms, really helpful staff and a great atmosphere. Definitely, best choice ever for visiting this city. We are really looking forward to coming back at... More

The hostel is located in an excellent place. It's super close to the Brandenburg gates, Reichstag, Check Point Charlie. There are two underground metro stations nearby, a big Mall of Berlin for shopping. The hostel is clean, you can bring your own beverages to the bar in the evening. Each room has their bathroom with toilet and shower, lockers. However,... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
