...to complain. We stayed here for 4 nights. Room was pretty small but I am used to rather bigger size. We could, however, easily fit a cot in for our son. They have very nice restaurants within walking distance. The little front desk was very friendly and helpful. Though they have no garage, parking is ok, but limited, first come... More

A small family hotel trying to survive against the chain competition in the area. Lovely family taking care of guests. Nice rooms, very clean. Friendly owner. Given the small calm location and the cosy room I felt like coming home after a few days. Fantastic escape from the centre in a green area with a few minutes to the heart... More

I stayed here for an early morning meeting with the University. Very close to the S-Bahn station (Botanic Garden) and shops nearby (but no banks). The room was very clean and large. Perhaps due to the off-season time, it was extremely quiet. Wifi was stable. The pension owner was not always in, but he gave perfect instructions how to get... More

We enjoyed a very comfortable four day stay in the Hotel Enzian. Michael was very helpful in morning as we planned our day. He even porvided us with his Dr. as my husband had a bad cold. The Hotel is very convenient to the train into Berlin. The station even has an elevator to get up and down from the... More

If you rather prefer to stay few minutes away from all that's happening in central Berlin, this is the place for you. You keep on reading about it and it is a fact: impeccably clean! Comfortable beds, nice rooms, good breakfast. Fast and stable wifi. Friendly and helpful staff. Location is perfect (calm, green, with perfect public transportation to be... More

Quiet, clean, comfortable room. Very friendly family running the hotel. Helpful stuff. Excellent breakfast for only 5 Euros. Nice area, green and calm. Good restaurants near-by. Nothing to complain. I will be back!

This is a great place to stay if are visiting Berlin for a few days. It is a family run hotel..so you get personalized service with a smile, lots of attention to detail & helpfulness. Our room was large & clean with a very pleasant view onto the quaint main street, breakfast was basic, but plentiful, served with a smile... More

We recently spent 3 days at this hotel and were very pleased and satisfied. The location is great, just a few minutes to the Botanische Garten S- Bahn station and close to bakeries and restaurants. It is even on the direct line to Potsdam which is well worth a visit. The hotel is very clean and comfortable and excellent value. We... More

We spent four wonderful nights in this small but beautiful hotel. The staff were outstanding. Our host even contacted a Spanish restaurant on his own for us to ensure we get a table the very evening of the arrival. I haven't experienced such hotel staff in a long time. It has certainly something to do with the fact that it... More

This was a special birthday gift and could not have been better. To point out that the staff at this hotel was very helpful. When I got to the reception the check-in took 1 minute and the owner helped me to set up the wifi (which I wouldn't be able to do myself). Perfect location. The food (breakfast) was good... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The family-run Hotel-Pension Enzian welcomes you to Berlin’s Steglitz district, a less trafficked area which is close to the famous Botanical Garden. The hotel is well within an easy commute to the center of Berlin - whether your destination is Friedrichstrasse, Gendarmenmarkt, Potsdamer Platz or Brandenburg Gate, 15 minutes on the city train is all it takes to get to where you want to go. The hotel itself, a more traditional bed-and-breakfast, has been serving international visitors for more than 50 years. Recent renovations have modernized the amenities to match the needs of current travelers, whether they are here for business or tourism (or both!). The hotel is located in a residential area that is both safe and historically interesting. Many restaurants are just a short walk away; the building itself has both a bar and restaurant for our guests’ convenience. A modern shopping destination is only one S-Bahn station away. The Enzian is able to offer the special ambiance of an elegant yet cozy family hotel which allows its guests to relax and to escape the bustle of the city proper. Enjoy comfortable modern rooms and a home-cooked breakfast, served to you by a friendly and helpful multilingual personnel. ... more   less
