For a major city hotel like this this was great value, located within a good walk of Berlin city centre (or the underground just outside). From the first moment everyone was very friendly and spoke good English cause my German is very bad. Room was a good size and an excellent shower, breakfast was very good as well. I did... More

This is our second stay. It is a good, middle-of-the-road Best Western - meets all the expectations that this consortium spells out. Central for most things and stacks of good restaurants nearby. Adequate, clean, friendly and good value.

Close to the U-bahn Spittelmarkt station, so very convenient to get anywhere. The internet in the hotel was sporadic and slow. We went to the Cappucinno coffee bar across the street everyday for breakfast and to use their free internet, which was great. The staff at the front desk were helpful and friendly.

If a relatively inexepensive anonymous modern resting place is what you want then this may be it. Price is almost right and the hotel, which seems to be popular, is kind of hidden away but close to the Spittlmark U-Bahn. Room is on small size as bathroom door hits the foot of the bed when open, the free internet in... More

Pros Peaceful location and not far from the center. Clean and nice looking. Breakfast was ok. Free safe in each room. Lockers with a key per user to save the luggage in the last day Cons Very bad WiFi. I couldn't use it during my stay. Employees not to kind in general. They don't make you feel welcoming or trying... Nice hotel near the U-Bahn station. The hotel has plenty of rental bikes. Most of the time we spent in the city and at the hotel we only stayed overnight. For breakfast was rich selection.Only the bed was too soft for me and pillow almost unusable, it was a large ball.

We stayed here for the Berlijn half Marathon. The room was small and the beds were not that good. The bathroom room was small also. The breakfast was good do and the reception was friendly. Wifi was bad! Well off course you get what you pay for because the prices are low (for Berlin standards).

It is very nicely located, with clean and spacious rooms. Nice breakfeast. However, a nice lobby or seperate room where one could sit talking or reading a book in comfortable chairs are badly missing. There is a lobby in conection with the reception desk. However, it is noicy and with very unconforable chairs.

We stayed for a short break at this hotel and it was very good value for money. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The room was clean and of adequate size, but the view of a building site wasn't pleasing on the eye. There was also only a shower in the room. I do like a bath but certainly... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
