Fine hotel. Close to city center. Great rooms, very sounds proof, were next to the elevator and didn’t hear it. Nice personnel at the desk. Bakery across the street is top also the Cappuccino breakfast shop.

Lovely hotel in general. Everything was very clean and tidy and our double room looked like it had been recently renovated. There is a U-bahn station round the corner so it is very easy to get around. Would definitely visit it again if I ever go back to Berlin.

The hotel is close (five minute stroll) to "Spittelmarkt" U-Bahn station (underground red line U2) and convenient for the city centre sights. Limited car parking, at a cost, on site. You can hire a bicycle from right outside reception if you wish. There are free access computers in the reception area too if you wish to check your e-mail etc.... More

If you come to berlin for pleasure, better book your accommodation to other hotels. Else, you need to leave your hotel early because noises of heavy equipment start 630am onwards. We called the reception to request for transfer of our room, but the receptionist said all sides of the building have construction activities so there will be noises everywhere, and... More

My son and I stayed there 4 nights. Location is great because you can either take the U Bahn which is a couple of blocks away or walk to many places in the old part of east Berlin. When I asked for info on some things (like making reservations for the Reichstag) I was directed to use one of the... More

We were pleasantly surprised by our stay. When hotels say they are close to an underground station, they often exaggerate, but this was literally a 5 min walk away with a Tapas bar/restaurant and coffee bar opposite. Very central and easy to access tourist areas. Staff are very friendly and have lots of services at no extra charge such as... More

Arriving at the tiny reception/bar/ only seating area in the hotel which was full of people coming and going we were shown across from the main hotel to an annexe where our allocated room backed onto a building site ! We were re roomed with no question but overall this is nothing more than a travel lodge ( but 15... More

Nice, clean hotel, good location, pleasant rooms, helpful staff. Only trouble was the noise from a construction site next door during the day. Would recommend inquiring about it before booking. other than that offers value for money.

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
