Clean hotel, comfortable beds and helpful personel. Most services was included in the room price. Very good location, 200 meters from Spittelmarkt underground station, with excellent connections to Alexanderplatz and Potsdamer platz. Also walking distance to Alexanderplatz and Tiergarten (15-20 minutes). A couple of small tings to be desired: CNN was the only english speaking channel, WIFI in our room... More

First up, the location is great--it's right by the U Spittelmarkt, which leads to the main spots in no time. My room was bright, airy, with modern fixtures. I jumpy-clapped to see a flat-screen tv with CNN, a full-length mirror, air-con, lots of outlets. The bathroom was shower-only with clean tiles and a huge mirror and roomy enough not to... More

We traveled here for a work outing and it was a great place to base ourselves. With only a few hundred meters to the Berlin Wall and a few minutes walk to check point Charlie it was what we were asking for. The staff from the moment we checked in till we left were fantastic and had great knowledge of... More

Clean, quiet and modern room. Sorroundings of the hotel are not spectacular but it is centric enough and 2 blocks away from Spittelmarkt subway station. Generous breakfast. Wifi barely worked inside the room

The hotel is located on a good place: 3 minutes to the subway station U2 and 15 minutes to the museum island. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The staff is nice and the breakfast is wonderful. They sell the Berlin Welcome Card and also the museum pass. If you look for a good place to stay in Berlin and... More

We are regular guests am Neuen Gruenstrasse. Take a comfort room, bit more expensive, but you have more room. Take your breakfast at the corner of the street at Thuermann, cheaper and nicer experience. They don't have luncheon and dinner available, but neighborhood has lots of possibilities. Location is in the middle of Mitte, close to most places you should... More

we have stayed here several time en route to and from Poland. We think it is expensive - very narrow beds, not much of a bar in the lobby- rather soul less, more of a back packer stop off. Good location tho and a great little Spanish restaurant opposite where we have dined a couple of times. Accomm in Berlin... More

We stayed here basically for a one night transit. It is located minutes from the Spittelmarck Ubahn. It is on an ultra quiet street which was wonderful for us. Rooms were clean and comfortable. No complimentary water, fridge, or tea/coffee pot though. Breakfast was quite nice and tasty. It's a nice stay for transiting or just need basic facilities without... More

It is walking distance from Museum Island, 2 min to U-Bahn, reasonable priced, welcoming staff, comfortable beds - I think that is enough to rate it very good :-) Plus hotel staff will help you with getting "Umweltzone" sticker for your car, so you can park on the streets :-) As for breakfast - we decided to get our breakfast... Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
