Firstly, I would not dissuade anyone from staying here. It is well located for getting about and much is in reasonable walking distance. The U2 station is very close & good for travelling , especially to the Olympic stadium and Zoo. The room was comfortable and I didn't have a problem with the 'lumpy' pillow. Everything worked and the mixer... More

Just had a long weekend here, after spending much time filtering through the 500 or more tourist hotels in Berlin . Coffee/tea, bottle opener and beer glasses, flat screen tv, hair dryer, in room safe, clock -radio and and all bathroom extras were included in price. We also took breakfast here every day which was lovely. This hotel is also... More

Stayed for a long week-end and found this hotel to be an excellent choice for our first visit to Berlin. The room was very clean and the staff in Reception were always helpful and polite. The hotel is only approx. 100m from the U bahn. Café at end of road provides good alternative breakfast site. Would have no hesitation in... More

Great value for money and a great central location. Comfortable, clean rooms. 24H reception. The wifi was somewhat poor but otherwise a great experience. Breakfast is ok, but for the cost you are better off going to a proper restaurant.

Not much to say, it's a good budget hotel in a good location. Checkin was quick and easy, the room had everything you need, and was clean. We didn't book breakfast but found a great bakery at the end of the road.

We drove here from Karlovy Vary in the Czech Republic and I was a bit worried about finding the hotel.. no worries there, Berlin is a lovely place to drive around and the hotel is a breeze to find. When we arrived we parked nice and easily and the check in was swift and very pleasant. The room we had... More

The location is perfect to walk over the old DDR. Metro is very close. Breakfast it is included in the price and it is good. Rooms are a little beat small. WiFi is working perfectly. Not so many restaurants around. Only the Spanish Tapas restaurant . Very good.

We were very unhappy here. When we arrived they told us that our room was ready but as we were an hour early we would have to pay 20€ to check in earlier. I don't see why if the room is ready the hotel couldn't do us the service of allowing us to check in at that time. This is... More

I was not really a fan of this hotel. It is new, but seemingly constructed with the most basic and cheapest materials that could be found. Need soap? Sure. That is in the refillable squeeze bottle attached to the bathroom wall. Want to leave your bags? Sure. Carry them downstairs and put them in a euro locker. Technically has everything,... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
