The Mittendrin’s nice, kind, amazing and sophisticated hostess Sabine made our stay one to remember. . Every detail had been thought of, from bathrobes to a fruit bowl and chocolates. The breakfast was delicious and rich, and we sat with Sabine and the other guests at a large table and conversations were legendary. The location is perfect - quiet, close... More

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Mittendrin. We were welcomed by Sabine, the vivacious hostess, with a glass of champagne. The Romantic Room was even more beautiful than in the pictures, and was very comfortable and spacious. She showed us the other rooms, which were also very nice. Every detail had been thought of, from bathrobes and slippers to... More

My husband and I stayed at mittendrin during the 3.5 days we were in Berlin, and our stay was exceptional. We arrived early on a Sunday morning on an overnight train (7:30 a.m.), and I had asked Sabine if it would be possible to drop our bags with her so that we wouldn't have to worry about them before checking... The Mittendrin’s extraordinary host Sabine made our stay one to remember. No detail was too inconsequential, providing invaluable recommendations to suit our individual needs. Sabine's B&B can be highly recommended for comfort and decor, its cleanliness, the gastronomical breakfasts, as well as room flowers, chocolates & fruits. The location is perfect - quiet, close to transport, cultural highlights and shopping... More

Mittendrin was just what it said on the tin! All expectations exceeded. My 16 year old daughter and I spent 2 nights in Berlin and stayed at Mittendrin which felt very luxurious but at the same time very home from home. Sabine's welcome was just what we needed with a drink and a chat to find out what guidance we... More

Although Mittendrin is located in the center of the city nearvy Kurfürstendamm, it is a very quiet and comfortable place. The rooms are big and furnished luxuriously. Each room has its own bathroom. The hostess is very friendly and attentive, professional and personal at the same time. The breakfast is delicious and overwhelming. It is not cheap though, but it... More

My wife and I spent a fabulous 7 nights in this lovely B&B right off the Ku'damm. The location is excellent in an old but restored building, only four guest rooms on the third floor with an elevator. Lovely breakfast room - charming decorations with fresh flowers throughout. We stayed in the Modern Room, one of the two very spacious... More

The Mittendrin is an amazing B&B (maybe Berlin's only true B&B) located just off of the Kurfürstendamm (Ku'damm) in Western Berlin. It is within a few minutes walk of many attractions, including the KaDeWe (upscale shopping center), the Berlin Zoo, and the the Tiergarten (Berlin's Central Park). It is beautifully-appointed; my wife and I stayed in the Romantic Room, which... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
