We spent a long weekend here in Feburary, its was the perfect accommodation in the perfect location for our needs, only 200 merters from metro and rail link and to a shopping mall with supermarkets. The journey into central Berlin ( Mitte ) is only a few stops and took 10 to 15 mins. The appartments are in a quiet... More

We stayed at Pension Absolut for 3 nights in a double room with a shared kitchen and bathroom. The check in process was pretty difficult as we arrived on a Sunday morning and the lady at the desk didn't speak any English. The room we stayed in was a small apartment around the corner from the reception with 2 other... More

Stayed at the apartment on Chorinerstraße, and loved every minute of it. Great location - walked up and down Kastienallee and the surrounding areas and was completely enchanted by Berlin. Fell upon the St. Lucia Weihnachtsmarkt and it was lovely. There's a supermarket and a bakery, plus a number of restaurants right on the corner, plus the neighborhood of Prenzlauerberg... More

the pension was fully booked, but they also have apartment/s - what a fantastic way to immerse yourself in a city, and this was no exception. plus, with hostels being so damn expensive in europe, this is the way to go for around the same price for a couple with private ensuite!...an airy, immaculate 4th floor studio apartment (no lift... This is an excellent budget choice. If you haven't visited Berlin before, resign yourself to the fact that you will have to use the subway to get around. It just isn't possible to stay in the 'centre' and walk everywhere. With this in mind, you would do well to follow our example and stay in the Prenzlauer Berg district which... More

We really enjoyed staying at Pension Absolut in Berlin. It's in a great district and you are easily connected all over (Berlin's transport is fast and easy... definitely do not need to stay "central" to get to any attractions/sights.) The bathrooms/showers are in a separate room but they all feel private and are super clean--just what you need. The decor/furnishings... More

We stayed for 2 nights at this sweet little B&B in november 2010. The Pension is located in a quiet neighbourhood not to far from a trainstation. Everything is very simple, tidy and clean. Insted of a key you get a code for the electronic locks and it works very well. The hostess is very nice and helpful and she is... More

If you're a tram aficiondo like me, then this is a good place to stay, with access to a tram line as well as the S and U bahn close by. I fund it really easy to get to the airport too, catching the ring line then changing for the bus to Tegel airport. The syle is minimal, rooms basic/spartan... More

This pension is not for delicate sleepers. The bedding (mattress, pillow and duvet) is fully synthetic, which was uncomfortably hot. Also, the outside walls and the floors are very thin, which made the stiletto steps of a lady upstairs sound like pistol shots early in the morning, and the cars in the street outside sounded like driving past the bed.... We are utterly surprised to hear this unique complain. We have best value beds and new quality mattresses in all rooms. About the noise factor one has to know that we run the pension in a old historical building which has a charming atmosphere, but on the other hand has a old building structure and is not so noise isolated... We stayed at this guest house two separate occasions during our travels abroad. We stayed in a different room each time, and both rooms were very comfortable. Although this pension has shared bathrooms, we felt as though we were staying at a friend's home, it was very clean and inviting and the owner is very sweet and helpful. I would... More
