Initially liked the look of hotel on arrival, however when we got the room we found there was only a small fan and no air con ( in 40 degree temp) It was unbearable and made it hard to sleep or even be in room. The location is not ideal with clubs surrounding that go to all hours, The bathroom... More

Very spacious, nice couch to sit on and the bathroom is very large and well equipped. TV had lots of channels to keep us entertained. Breakfast range best I experienced in Europe- cold to hot meals, sweets and savoury. Staff helped us with directions and gave us tips and went out of their way to make us feel welcomed. They... My arrival at the hotel was quite welcoming, the hotel staff were friendly and reception area was quite nice. The hotel kindly looked after a sick relatives suitcase for one day until I arrived and was able to look after it myself. There were about a dozen steps to climb to get the very small lift to the room. It... More

Finally a nice hotel in Europe that is priced reasonably! Very modern rooms that you can open the windows and also the air conditioning worked well. Very comfortable beds. Yes a noisy area but the rooms were actually pretty quiet. Loads of places to choose from close by for dining or partying. Also super handy to the city centre using... More

Did not enjoy the stay at the hotel. The bathroom and the passage leading to the room the passage leading to the room had a very bad smell of blocked pipes.I assume there is a hospital as ambulances went on the entire day. It is also situated close to the clubs and people party the entire weekend until About 6am.... More

Clean hotel. Very good breakfast and the staff were very friendly. The only thing that was bothering was the location of the hotel. Extremely noisy during day and night especially during weekends. The traffic and people walking past the hotel makes it very noisy. But the rooms, breakfast and staff were nice.

Room was fine, not cleaned to hotel standards, hair in the sink. I stayed there for one night and found the staff unbearably rude, the staff at the desk could only answer my questions with a sarcastic remark and an eye roll. Both the woman with the long dark hair and the tall man with slicked back hair were incredibly... More

I stayed here for German Fetish Ball and it was a good location with a train station about a 5/7 minute walk away - not great for disabled people though as it had one set of steps to go down to the platform and no lift. There were taxis outside the hotel most of the time and only once out... More

Unfortunately I had to book a 3 star for a 4-day business trip to Berlin; I would have to go to that area and the budget was not very high, so this hotel was really the only solution available at the end! And I was very worried, until I arrived at the hotel. The lobby is small but well functioning,... More

I really enjoyed the location of this hotel - it's not in the city centre by any means, but very convenient to the East Berlin Wall gallery, public transport (the tram is great, goes everywhere) and "edgy" nightlife. Rooms were spacious, modern and comfortable. However I stayed with a travelling partner in a twin and we were charged 5 euro... More

Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighborhood Profile
Friedrichshain
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
