The neighbourhood of this hotel is definitely not the best you can find in Berlin. It's right next to a train station (very convenient) as well as a massive club (Matrix) so you can be certain to walk along with other loud and drunk people if you get back to the hotel late at night. Good and very cheap kebabs... More

A nice hotel but an odd layout. They have two buildings, a new one and an old one, so each floor is split up among the two buildings, it also means each floor has a separate elevator and you won't know which one you need to go to until you try as there are no signs. The rooms themselves are... More

My partner and I stayed at the hotel Klassic on a tour around Europe, it is fair to say we saw our fair share of hotels, but this hotel was by far the worst on our journey. When we arrived we checked in and almost immediately left for dinner to find out friends of ours had been allocated a room... More

The klassik is very close to the train stations, tram line and is a very clean, comfortable spot. People should be aware that there is virtually constant noise from the streets outside which on Fridays and Saturdays gets even louder from the clubs around. Good friendly staff who looked after our luggage so we could take a walk around the... More

Stayed here for 2 nights in late August, was a good spot, near to the train station, near to the east side gallery, Rex at reception was really great, went above and beyond to help us out, even to the point of slicing some apples and grapefruit for us late at night, and chatting with us in the early hours.... Stayed for 3 nights during June. Room was very warm and humid in comparuson to outside especially with no air con, howver he fan provided did help. WiFi was a nightmare, although fine when it did work it had a tendency to cut out mid-use and a requirement to log back into it after cutting out when locking the phone... More

If you are visiting East Berlin and looking for a clean inexpensive hotel you would do a lot worse than staying here. I know it is a bit noisy at night...all night but I would presume you were taking in the nightlife like everybody else so you would be adding to the hubbub. Prices were very reasonable and breakfast nice,... More

I stayed here when i was visiting Berlin for the weekend and i couldn't have picked better if i tried. The hotel was clean, comfortable and well presented. The room that i had was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was clean and came with complimentary toiletries and slippers. The receptionist was very pleasant and helpful. There... I love to stay here because the office is so close by. I have even stayed in the Berlin Westin, but I would have rather stay at the Klassik. Small comfortable hotel, very clean. Free breakfast with a lot of selection (hot and cold), free internet. All for 89 euros per night. Cannot beat that. There are a ton of... More

Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighborhood Profile
Friedrichshain
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
