Its located on east side where you can go to berlin's famous night life easily, beside this it was quite and comfortable place to stay 😊 we like it very much but also its hard to find and streets are a bit dark

We've spent 2 days in Berlin this time. We had a separate room in the hostel with a double bed and our own washbasin (a nice bonus). A free breakfast (cereals, tea, coffee) was also very handy. Linens were clean and comfortable. What we didn't like: wi-fi was not stable in every place of the hostel and it was quite... More

We stayed here for one night and it was unforgettable! We travelled around and stayed in many hostels across the world but this was, by far, the worst! First getting in to the building was more like accessing a block of flats which was strange, followed by make shift direction signs to the hostel door, that was held up by... More

We spent only 40 euros per person for a 4-night stay. Breakfast was included. There are computers, a kitchen and two common rooms. The staff was helpful but not very sociable. It is located in a nice neighborhood filled with all kinds of bars, restaurants and people.

We stayed one night in Berlin and needed a cheap hostel. We found BackpackerBerlin and it looked fine and prices were fine. The hostel was fine, okay... Not the best. Location: The hostel was located in a very hip, hipster area, where many locals liked to hang. An area with tons of new, trendy and hipster shops and cafées. Easy... More

Stayed in this hostel for 2 nights. Was awsome. Everything you need for your back packing stay. The staff were so helpful everytime we needed something. Felt comfortable. Kitchen and bathrooms are clean. Common rooms keep up to scratch. Free breaky and when on a budget comes in handy. Good experience. Thank you!

the best part of staying at this hostel was leaving it. you'll probably like it though if you're an 18/19 year old aussie kid who wants to hook up. ya dig? my hostel room had a constant smell of a hamsters cage (seriously) and i had an overall dirty vibe of the place (and trust me, clean hostels DO exist,... Bad hostel... never again and highly not recommended! - Not friendly personal (I was planning to stay longer on the same hostel, but the personal just simply says 'sorry no room left' and he was not even watching on his calendar!) and not friendly people (I guess I was unlucky). So, I changed hostel in my last 2 days of... More

Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighborhood Profile
Friedrichshain
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
