Could not have asked for a finer hotel experience! Located in the middle of Würzburg makes it for one: good location. It is, we learned,a family owned hotel, so no "cookie cutter" place. We were in an end room, 236, which I would strongly recommend your asking for. Another MAJOR good feature is that the hotel is air conditioned that... More

We had one available between Dresden and Mannheim and we chose Wurzburg. This hotel is an easy and quick (<8 Euros from the train station) off a quiet alley. We had "junior suite" which was actually a dormer room with cross ventilation - would have been handy in the warmer months. The reservation process online was diabolical - I gave... More

Nice hotel in a very central location. Due to the close proximity of the hotel to Marienplatz the church bells are rather noisy, but thats the price you pay for location! Friendly and helpful staff though service in the restaurant a little slow. Valet parking convenient.

A very nice hotel, a hundred yards from Marienplatz; whatever the city has to offer is at your fingertips. Nice room, clean and quiet, great and friendly service, valet parking (important in the city center). They manage to occupy the higher end of the Würzburg hotels and at the same time don't lose the "family" touch, which makes Franken so... More

The room was clean and big enough for 2 adults. Ok bathroom. Valetparking for free (i.e. a daily fee of approx. 12 €) The breakfast was ok but not great. Friendly staff as we experienced them. They have a great winecellar with prices that is comparable to many surrounding wineshops. Located at the very center of town.

The hotel has a great location and a good breakfast. The staff is unfriendly and doesn't care. On arrival at the family suite which was very big but deteriorating, the room was freezing cold - nobody had bothered to turn on the heating, the safe was broken as well as the shower. After informing the reception early in the morning... More

A 4 star hotel in the centre of Wuerzburg. built in the 50s. Personel very helpful. Bedrooms Ok but only a 195 cm bed, tall persons beware. Hallways are not heated very well hence when you turn up the room are cold. Very good car parking service can recommend..You cannot use this hotel with a wheel chair. We would recommend... More

Breakfast was OK. Hotel staff unfriendly. Mildly clean , but details in the room needed some attention. The room had a cold feeling, and needs some new blood. The appearance has potential, but needs management-updates. It seemed like the person(s) who owns this hotel needs to pole-vault out from the stone age. Advertised Wi-Fi, but it didn't work. What does... More

Very nice hotel. We arrived before noon - no problem. Frau Metz was very accommodating and took care of parking our rental car (thanks!!). The hotel is just off the main platz and close to all the major sites. Our room was good sized and very quiet. Breakfast was very substantial.

Pluses: location in the heart of town, excellent breakfast buffet, plenty of space in room Minuses: seemed over-priced compared to other hotels in other (bigger) cities, but maybe there was a conference in town that drove up the prices, VERY generic furnishings in room and poor lighting, awkward arrangement of the hotel rooms, which necessitated our going through the garage,...
