Internet, Breakfast, City Center Location, Friendly Staff and parking right outside the hotel. This all helped ale our visit to the city very memorable. My only suggestion is that it would have been nice to know ahead that we could drive right into the city and park (bring coins). We figured this out by calling the hotel, who all spoke... More

The rooms are simple & tiny with modern fixtures. No elevator so you'll have to haul your luggage up 2nd or 3rd floor. Wooden stairs are a bit creaky. Breakfast (see photos) is included. Within walking distance to everything and it provides parking in front of hotel (parking is free if you arrive late but have to start paying after... More

We visited Rothenburg for three nights on a cultural trip and chose Gasthof Butz as it had good reviews, it was good value for money and very centrally located It’s a family hotel and has been in the same family since 1894 and is located in a quite square just off the main square and busy tourists roads which was... We probably arrived at a bad time, the lady who welcomed us was not in a good mood, our room was on a third floor and it represented an inconvenience for my aunt -who is a senior citizen- due to the stairs which are not even, no one offered or was available to help us with the luggage....

The location is great only 5 to 10 minutes from the station and located in the centre of Rothenburg. The landlady was really friendly, the room is cosy and comfortable. Though there is no elevator, the landlady will help you to carry the suitcase up to your room and down when you check out.

Exactly what you would expect in this beautiful town. The rooms are simple but immaculate with totally modern bathrooms. Same family ownership for over 150 years. Had to be rebuilt after the war but was restored to its old world charm. Breakfast is included and was substantial. Within walking distance to everythin and it provides parking( for a fee) direcyly... More

It was a grand place to stay. It is near the main square (Marktplatz). One of us had a walking stick, I could drive to the hotel door and park for 30 minutes. We had a great evening meal and a great breakfast there. Service was great and the cost was less than 40 Euros per person per night. There... More

I spent one night at the Gasthof Butz, and I thought it fit perfectly into the time I spent in this old town. It is quaint and homey with a large wooden staircase from the dining room to the upstairs rooms. The hotel is right in the middle of everything, so I could walk to part of town in just... More

The building, with its creaking stairs, homey wood furniture, and large, cozily decorated dining room with family photos, hand-drawn caricatures, and Christmas figurines, is steeped in history. In our room, we found crisp-clean, luxurious linens on the bed. White-curtained windows above window boxes filled with flowers, overlook a small, quiet square with a fountain. The entire front of the house... More
