First the good points, great welcome, good location just outside the town wall beyond the Klingentor town entrance/gateway. Breakfast, first-class, in fact if anything there was too much. So what's unique? The family that run the hotel are very personable and sociable, they even waved flags at the door to wise us well on our way. Other comments on Tripadvisor... More

Nice welcome from Madam, who showed us to a very large, very clean room with the biggest bathroom ever experienced! Décor a bit kitsch and dated, but added to the charm - a lovely room. Excellent location just outside city walls, parking in hotel grounds. Excellent breakfast - certainly would not leave hungry, served by a very cheery, chatty Madam.... More

We arrived late last Sunday-about 7 pm, which is "after hours" by many European hotel standards. Since we had no German cell phone- we were not able to call ahead re: late arrival. However, as we were parking the car in the lot, Georg greeted us! He was very friendly and helped us carry in our luggage. We had requested... More

The couple who run this guesthouse are absolutely adorable! The friendliest German hoteliers ever. Room is comfortable, spacious, and clean. Bathroom was also spacious (spacious enough for a urinal!). Breakfast was delicious typical German (hard boiled eggs, meats, cheese, bread, etc). Free off-street parking. Only negative was iffy wifi, but I would absolutely stay here again in a heartbeat.

We arrived in Rothenburg without a reservation in a very busy weekend ( Christmas market and comemorations month - end of november ). We got the last room available and it was just perfect!!! It was very clean, cosy, had good wifi signal, tv with lots of cable channels, terrific breakfast with our country flag on the table ( the... More

Free parking, able to walk into Rothenburg, large room, beautiful bathroom and way too much good food for breakfast! The hotel is very authentic, not a new modern hotel. Our hosts were so welcoming and friendly, willing to help with any questions. A perfect location to explore by foot or by car.

The hotel is ideally located. We were greeted warmly by the hosts. The rooms were clean and bright. The value for the money is unbeatable. The breakfast was great and couldn't be better. However, I don't believe the hotel has an elevator, therefore, if you need one, you may want to contact the hotel directly to confirm. Other than that,... More
