We loved every minute of our two night stay. We had originally planned on one night in Rothenburg, but as soon as we checked in we knew we had to stay another night and fortunately they had our room available for the next night. The staff were very helpful and friendly! We ate at the restaurant one night and would... More

We could have spent a day just wandering around and taking in everything in the hotel! Our reservation confirmation asked us to call ahead with time of arrival. Make sure you do as there are times of the day when the innkeepers are not there! Our train was late and so were we, but there was a number to call... More

My fiance and i stayed here in September 2014. The room was comfortable and clean. The place was quiet. We were a little disappointed that the restaurant was not open the evening we were there, but the breakfast the next day was very good. I would stay here again.

Would be happy to stay again if looking for somewhere nice to stay. Owner and staff were helpful and obliging. The hotel has the feel of a traditional inn from hundreds of years ago. Room was very clean. Included breakfast had ample food (bread, yogurt, salami, cheese, etc.). Restaurant wasn't open, but owner gave us a map with some dining... More

I highly recommend this place, if you enjoy a hearty traditional Franconian style meal. Very hospitable owners, and on the inside it was very historical and warm. My meal came with a local white wine which was wonderful. We got there early, but it seemed they had several reservations for later that evening, so it may be worth calling ahead.... More

Cool old building with a super fun restaurant. Staying in Rothenburg was a highlight of our trip, especially hanging with the night watchman. If you want to embrace the history of the town, I recommend staying here and having a few beers in the bar.

We stayed in this idyllic place for 2 nights. The room was very quaint and cosy... A beautiful room!! We had all the amenities, big bathroom including tub. Downstairs there is a restaurant, unfortunately we didn't book a table so we couldn't eat there but it was very busy and smelt delicious so booking very advisable. A wonderful experience all... Me and my boyfriend came here just for 1 night, but we made a promise to come back to Rothenburg and stay again at Altfrankische Weinstube. It doesn't happen very often that we would have breakfast and dinner at the same place, but the lady did sell us the restaurant and we were not disappointed :) Very happy with the... More

Great location. Pleasant staff. Bed was comfortable. No shower, but great two person tub. Wonderful 600 year old building. Lots of fun decor. Breakfast was plentiful. Could not get wifi in room. No elevator.

Situated quite centrally in Rothenburg, this guesthouse was full of quirky memorabilia and quite atmospheric. Nice, pleasant room which was very clean and a comfy bed. Breakfast was a plentiful German fare and the staff very pleasant. Unfortunately we stayed a Tuesday evening and found the restaurant to be closed. A shame but plenty of eateries in the streets nearby.
