This is the place to stay in Rothenburg-- what a gem of a find! Rooms are beautiful, location is away from the noise, WiFi works well in the rooms, and breakfast is plentiful. When we arrived at 15:00, no one was there to check us in, and we called the number on the sign, but no one answered. We had... More

I love this place - what a brilliant hotel, small, narrow staircases, low ceilings, candle light, fairy lights, magnificent portraits, wonderful restaurant proper German food - it was like stepping into the Hobbit. I will be coming back and I will be telling everyone - I needed some magic in my life and I found it here.

I love the Weinstube. Not only are the rooms beautiful, clean and cozy, the restaurant has some of the best food ever!!! Make sure to visit on a night when the English conversation club meets. You will learn a lot!!!! Herman the German is the best guide and you can't miss talking with him.

Lovely romantic setting. Great location to explore the town. Cosy rooms. Truly enjoyed the stay. Fairly good breakfast. spread. Decoration very interesting. Friendly staff and personal attention. Parking closeby at very reasonable rates if you visit by car.

We spent a couple nights here in the middle of a heat wave (ouch) but our room, the Bauern Stube was comfortable. Dark wood, low ceilings, ivy covered walls outside, a gorgeous bathroom, a very comfortable bed...and just a little bit away from the busiest part of Rothenburg...and a great breakfast too! I had read about this in Rick Steves'... More

My husband and I loved this place. The decor is very old world and the rooms are adorable. The room took me back to a time when I was young and had stories read to me about fairytales. This is quite what you may have envisioned in those stories. The beds were comfortable and the complimentary breakfast was outstanding. We... More

Pros: cute hotel in great location. Restaurant attached that served quite possibly the best salad I've ever eaten (it was the dressing). Family atmosphere. Free breakfast. Cons: Miscommunication in English may be blamed on you. Best if you speak German. You'd better hope that you are a welcomed guest or things get awkward quickly.

We loved this little Inn. It's a 600 year old building with low ceilings and open beams. It's very dark inside, which adds to the charm. It really feels like you are in a pub from 1500. The whole place is an experience in itself. It is very rustic and moody inside. Not everyone's cup of tea, but we found... More

I have lived in Germany for seven years, and travel regularly. On this occasion I thought I'd treat my parents to a trip to the beautiful city of Rothenburg ob der Tauber, a place I have been to with my fiance a few times in the past. We stayed two nights, and ate at the restaurant one night. The stay... More

The place is very charming but I can't give it a rating of 5 for a few reasons. They promised free parking and that was not the case. There is limited parking on the street and if you get there first its yours. Otherwise you need to park in a public lot about 4 blocks a way. Not a big... More
