The staff were very helpful and friendly and spoke good english. The rooms were well appointed, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was lovely. The position of this hotel is excellent for seeing the sites. We had a lovely weekend here and the restaurant was also lovely.

We have stayed at this hotel for a few days every September since around 2000. We have always been very happy with the standard of the rooms (although you will pay more for any sort of view from your window other than part of a roof), the bathrooms, the cleanliness and the service. The breakfast has a good variety of... More

Situated inside the walled medieval town, you could walk to all the attractions and restaurants.we stayed two nights in the hotel and found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The hotel is starting to show its age in the bedrooms and dinning area. The breakfast was okay though not a huge selection and one morning there were no croissants... More

This was our first visit here, the hotel was found through internet, it was really central and well located. The restaurant had been leased out until the end 2013. Closed Mondays. Breakfas WAS available. The room was really cosy, warm and well-equipped, clean and with a fine view. A 4 poster bed ! 100s of TV channels if you have... More

We arrived at the front of the hotel after a somewhat tortuous route through Rothenbug lead by our sat-nav(very stressful in place when you have a biggish car) to find a easy parking place to unload our luggage at the front of the hotel. The lady at the reception was just great, one of the best I have ever encountered.... More

This was our second visit to Rothenburg ob der Tauber so we wanted a quieter hotel than previously. Location is near the Burg garden so it is away from the main square and throngs of people. A charming hotel run by a friendly, helpful family and long time residents of Rothenburg. We had a large room on the first floor... More

Our first overnight stay on the Romantic Road. Lovely hotel centrally located in the heart of the town. The room was spacious and comfortable with a good bathroom. We stayed on a Monday night so there was no restaurant or bar available in the hotel but there were plenty of options nearby. There were plenty of choice for breakfast in... More

This is a wonderful hotel. The location is perfect- hard to have a bad location in Rothenberg, but this was just off the main square so it was quiet at night and in the morning. The hotel and room was absolutely beautiful. We had a deluxe room and it was huge. It had tons of beautiful old details, like cornice... More

This was our most ‘interesting’ and nearly disastrous hotel visit. I have progressive Multiple Sclerosis and whilst I can walk very short distances with the aid of two sticks, it takes great effort and I can only really manage 50 – 75 metres. We arrived at the walled town of Rothenburg on Sunday 8th September 2013 right in the middle... More

Near disaster, as we inadvertently arrived in the middle of a Festival weekend, when the whole town is shut to traffic, and my husband is disabled. However, we managed to get the car fairly near and Sandi completely saved the day by patting our furrowed brows and sorting out the practicalities. She is a star! We then enjoyed an amazing... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
It is not difficult to find a room for the nights in Rothenburg. One of the loveliest is to be found in the Herrngasse. It goes without saying that to live in a building from the Middle Ages has its attractions. Not luxurious, perhaps, but very comfortable, yet homely in the best sense. The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly, so that an enjoyable stay is assurd. One of the oldest nobleman`s house with individual and stylish interior. ... more   less
