Been there with the family in August. We were a party of five so took their biggest suite, which is basically a huge room which was enough for all of us. This hotel is such a charm, in the middle in the most amazing and charming town. The scene while driving into the town was breathtaking, i can't describe it,... More

We just loved our stay in this hotel! What a wonderful place to lay your head after a long day! This is a family-owned and operated hotel and you can tell. We showed up just a bit early for our stay and our key was already out on the counter and they were expecting us. We mentioned that we'd lost... More

We fell in love with the Romantik Hotel Markustrum! What a wonderful, luxury experience in the heart of medieval Rothenburg ob der Tauber! The hotel is centrally located, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the ambiance cannot be beat. The hotel merges the old with the new. Old world charm (decor) and new world amenities (free wi-fi). The restaurant... More

I loved my stay here. The food was very good. They make their own beer. They have a lovely wine list and the prices are reasonable. The hotel is spotless and the staff are very helpful. The town is extremely quaint. You need 2 days to skim the surface. The breakfasts are great. Make sure that you take a room... More

This hotel is in a fantastic location, only two minutes walk into the main centre of the town. In fact this hotel features on many of the post cards for the town and is really beautiful from the front. Inside it is larger than you think, but still feels authentic and personal. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. We... More

My friend and I were here for 5 nights for the Turbertal music festival and we stayed here. We had one of the front rooms. Very modern for this wonderful town in Germany. Very clean and spacious and comfortable. We arrived with fresh fruit and chocolate waiting for us in our room. Our suitcases got taken up stairs as there... More

The first challenge is getting to the hotel by car but, fortunately, our SatNav did a good job. However, on arriving it was clear there was nowhere to leave the car for any period of time. A quick query at Reception solved the problem as we unloaded our luggage and the hotel staff quickly and efficiently took the car away... More

It is everything you imagined to the pictures the staff was a culminating them first rate it's charming on the inside as well as the out. The rooms are typical by European standards and smaller. We stayed one night here on a half board option. Our room at the back of the hotel was small and the decor was dated but it was clean and adequate for one night. The rooms at the front of the hotel looked lovely but, I suspect, were more expensive. Our evening meal was good but the wine was dear... More

This hotel is very well situated in the walled town, and is very quaint. The room we had was very spacious with large bathroom. There were quite a few stairs, but the interior of the building is so quaint we didn't mind! There was a stork nest outside our window! The staff were very helpful, and the breakfast excellent.
