We really enjoyed our stay at Eisenhut! The hotel staff are very helpful and very friendly! The hotel is close to the market plaza and literally right next door to the Christmas museum and store! Centrally located enough that if we got too cold we could retreat to our quaint little room on the 3rd floor! The breakfast spread was... More

Hotel Eisenhut is lovely. The whole town of Rothenburg ob der Tauber makes you think you are an extra in a Walt Disney fairy story - the medieval architecture prevails in the city centre and the delightful atmosphere of Christmas Markets adds to the effect. Don't forget to sample some rot wein (mulled wine) and stock up for next year's... More

Special kudos to Ms Kral at the front desk. When our GPS put us on a street so narrow that our car wouldn't fit, Ms Kral ran out of the hotel (even before she was sure that we were coming to check in) and carefully directed us out of our dilemma. Our room overlooked the old city and was spacious... More

3 persons stayed one night as part of a business trip to Rothenburg. We hired a car at Nuremberg airport and found the hotel relatively easily using the sat nav / GPS. The hotel is in a cobbled street area amongst traditional and picturesque buildings. Parking was ok, free of charge near the fountain some 50 metres away. The hotel... More

I know this is supposed to be one of the better hotels here, but ours was not a nice room. It was cramped and the decor left a lot to be desired. I never got used to it and looked forward to checkout. The room service for food was a highlight and the staff were very cordial, friendly and professional.... More

This is one of my top 10 favorite hotels. It is an extremely historic hotel with no two rooms that are alike. Everywhere you turn there is something historic to view. The floors creak and are somewhat slanted but it is a very solid structure. The service is impeccable and the entire hotel staff are very helpful. This hotel is... More

Beautiful historical building with a classic stair case and authentically creaking floors. You can't stay any more authentic medieval in Rothenburg. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the room clean, big and beautiful - a nice mix of traditional with a modern bath room with a nice big round tub. The location is perfect, right at the market... More

We stayed in this hotel for two night. During the day we visited the Christmasmarket and wandered through the small streets. The location was great. During the day it was easy to go back to the hotel for a rest and warming up. The rooms are big and we had a nice view of tthe street. The furniture is a... More

Rothenburg odT is an amazing destination and the Hotel Eisenhut is well located off the main square is this Unesco World Heritage city. Pros: Great location. Large connecting rooms are available (although in limited supply for a large family like mine - four kids). Clean facility and decent albeit perfunctory service. Good wifi connectivity. Beautiful lobby. Parking available onsite. Cons:... More

Charming building, beautiful facade: this place ticks the "romantic, typical" box but it does lack some of the comforts that it should have for a hotel of this standing: the bathroom was so old it looks dirty even when clean, the bed's springs were basically busted and the internet was soooo slow it was unusable. It was Ok for one... More
