Central location with easy walk to all of Rothenburg. Our room was quite ugly with sagging beds and very dated (not charming antique) furnishings. Barely adequate shower and no AC. Food was fine and service was adequate. Not recommended.

We really enjoyed our stay in Rothenburg - Our room was massive, it had a bed that could fit 4 people, a seperate living area and a bathroom that i can only describe as the best we have ever had in Europe. If I had to find a fault with this place then it would be the Chef - the... More

Rothenburg is the best preserved medieval town on the Romantische Straße and this hotel is right in the middle, in meters from City Hall and Kathe Wolfart store. It is like staying at the Ritz in Paris. It can not get any more downtown than that. Has two buildings across the street and a fancy patio restaurant on the roof:).... More

This hotel was located in the city walls next to the center. When you get there take what you need from your car and they will park it in the garage for a small fee. Shopping and food it just steps away. Our room was large and comfortable. I'm still getting use to the tub/shower/glass wall thing. Stepping out out... More

It's been a year after my family and I immigrated to Germany, my husband and I finally had some time to ourselves and decided to visit Rothenburg ob der Tauber (Rothenburg on the Tauber) as I have heard a lot about it. Going into a booking site, Hotel Eisenhut was one of the first hotels we came across. The pics... More

This is a clean, charming hotel with a very nice restaurant and very nice rooms. Certainly not a five star hotel but an excellent four star. The room had a nice balcony but it was shared by other rooms and had a privacy problem. The only thing I did not like was the inability to work the hand held shower... More

This was my third visit to Hotel Eisenhut, all in the past year. On this trip, I brought my 83 year old mother along and rented two rooms. I have to confess that ego got the best of me at check-in. I thought that check-in was rather ministerial, as if I was checking into a Sheraton in NYC, rather than... More

My husband and I stayed here with my daughter and her friend for one night. The hotel us in a great location and while our rooms were a bit tired with spacious bathrooms that could use updating ( ours was pink and black) the beds were comfortable, the room was quiet, the view was beautiful and the breakfast was generous.... Much has already been said in the reviews so just wanted to cover the hilights. 1) It is right off the main center Marketplatz which is good and makes in in middle of everything 2) Being where it is makes it one block from Zur Holl (Hell) restaurant behind hotel as well as Kriminale Museum which is in the same... We enjoyed this hotel for its location, history and the rooms! It does not have a/c. But the temps were good for July and at night it cooled down. They do provide fans and the windows open. ( I am a warm natured person and I was comfortable.) The breakfast was very good. The staff was very helpful! It is... More
