Walked up to this hotel at midnight and knocked on door. Was welcomed by the most friendly hostess. Great room with authentic, medieval feel. Wonderful breakfast, good value (esp compared with neighboring hotels), great location, very friendly staff. Highly recommended. more

Stayed at the Hotel Hirsch for two nights in June. Great hotel in a beautiful town. Traditional style hotel very clean and right in the centre. Friendly staff made check in really easy. This was a great hotel - with fantastic service. Charming town - and great home base for seeing the castles. Everyone went over and above to look after our every need....from an iron - to an ice bucket for champagne! Apparently they have theme rooms.....which I'm srue are nice. I definitely agree with the other reviewers about the location. Fuessen is a charming village and we were fortunate to be there at New Year's Eve weekend with live concerts in the city square next to the hotel and hot glueh wein.
