Wonderful old walled town well preserved and modernised too. Enjoyable stay at a decent hotel with parking (pay) excellent food in the restaurant and great breakfasts too. Hot water slow to arrive...but it does arrive! Bathroom needs a proper shower. Very enjoyable stay and helpful friendly staff.

Hotel is centrally located right in the middle of this gorgeous historic town. The hotel is nicely decorated and has an Olde Worlde charm. We found the staff to be very welcoming and friendly. Our double room was very large and had a nice big bath. Parking is at the back and cost 5 euro per day. Only minor downsides... More

We stayed one night in dinkelsbuhl, the hotel was quaint and old. Rooms were clean & basic, we stayed in an attic room that got warm very quickly. Breakfast was simple but ample. Staff friendly enough. Great location, in middle of the town, which was full of history & very pretty. Also free parking! A nice choice....

This old traditional hotel has lots of character and charm. It is central to the town situated in the marketplace, so everything is convenient. The public areas ha the same charm. The room was small and quite stuffy. The bed and sleep quality was good , but the church bell opposite rang for 5 minutes at 6am in the morning... More

Lovely hotel with a great location until you meet the man working the reception desk. He was incredibly rude and charged for wifi without informing the wifi was not working and needed to be repaired. He then tried to tell me I didn't belong in my room since someone else dropped off the key. He also told me it was... More

This was a Post Inn centuries ago and has never stopped accommodating guests, including Queen Victoria. The owner perfectionism shows down to the last detail. The Goldene Rose is an excellent choice for spending a night on The Romantic Road. R and D

Right is the heart of Dinkelsbuhl, this really old hotel (begun in 1450) is a gem. The dark wood and slanting stairways are part of the charm; no elevator. Breakfast is fairly standard and presented nicely in a delightful room overlooking the market area. There is free parking in the back, presuming you are not driving an SUV or other... More

We checked into the Hotel Goldene Rose without realizing the history of the place. We read the story, experienced the creaking stairs, the old feel. When the town crier came by and announced the time, right below our window, we realized we weren't in Kansas any more. Dinkelsbuhl started out as a one night stopover and ended up being one... More

It is hard to express how nice and interesting the Goldene Rose Hotel really is. The Ollman's are very accommodating and want you to have a nice visit. The rooms are modern yet definitely have the expression of being very...very old. The floor in our room had a noticeable but not distracting slant and the door way is low. The... More

Wonderful old hotel with so much character and history. Wonderful food in their restaurant. The restaurant was full on a Monday night with lots of locals too (good sign). Treated really well and just loved the town. Wonderful place to visit. Shopping is very unique too.
