Right beside the river in the wonderful old town of Passau. The Wilder Mann occupies a splendid historic building which also houses the glass museum. It is a great place to base yourself for a night or two. Reception staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Our Comfort Doubles were very attractive in their decoration but a little on the small... This hotel is located well, next to the town hall, close to many museums and church sites and convenient to good restaurants. The front desk staff and servers in the restaurant didn't speak English well. This was true for many restaurants, museums, and stores in Passau, but we were able to get good information on the area from the town... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights in April and were wowed by the location and quality of accommodation. The hotel is over 300 years old and can be found sharing a building with the Passau Glass museum. Old stone walls, stunning views across passau and a fantastic Breakfas. The room we chose was the smallest and cheapest... More

A very pleasant and central hotel in Passau. I spent a lovely week in this beautiful town and this hotel was a very good base. An old property beautifully refurbished. The breakfast room has a wonderful view including the magnificent cathedral. My room was adequate and clean. I would definitely stay there again. Reception staff were most friendly and helpful.

Granted, the empress Sissi stayed in this hotel twice and the location is great but, even with a view of the Danube and the Veste Oberhaus, a small, cramped room with a shower barely big enough to turn around in (and I am slim) is not worth the EURO 118 (96 room+14 breakfast+8 parking) that my wife and I paid.... A very nice hotel right in the center of the old town Connected with glass museum located just next to the Town Hall and the River. Very nice old style hotel, still a moisty earthy smell (the city was flooded last year) Room was good, big (superior room), with old style beed and a small winther garden to sit in.

The hotel has a friendly staff who are assisting with whatever questions/wishes come up. The room was clean and because it's in a centuries old building, small. It looked on the inner courtyard and never noticed any noises coming inside from other rooms or from the streets. The breakfast is at the restaurant on the top of the hotel with... More

A beautiful hotel at a great location. Rooms are traditionally decorated, but Wifi works perfectly. No real lobby if that's what you want. The small double is small, because the bead is large by European standards. Pay more, have a larger room. If I don't stay at this hotel the next time in Passau, I'll still have my breakfast in... Booked a room very late online. Surroundings were very nice, Passau is a great town. We were met by a very friendly receptionist. Gave us a room overlooking the courtyard. Room was a bit small and outdated but ok. In the morning there was no hot water. We had no time to await repair and had to leave. Without asking... More

Many of the other buildings in town are still under renovation, but Wilder Mann appears to be fully restored. The location is good, but parking will be a problem for guests with vehicles. Spaces in town are hourly only; we were directed to a lot across the river for 4 E per day, a 10 minute walk from the hotel.... More
