A very pleasant and central hotel in Passau. I spent a lovely week in this beautiful town and this hotel was a very good base. An old property beautifully refurbished. The breakfast room has a wonderful view including the magnificent cathedral. My room was adequate and clean. I would definitely stay there again. Reception staff were most friendly and helpful.

Granted, the empress Sissi stayed in this hotel twice and the location is great but, even with a view of the Danube and the Veste Oberhaus, a small, cramped room with a shower barely big enough to turn around in (and I am slim) is not worth the EURO 118 (96 room+14 breakfast+8 parking) that my wife and I paid.... A very nice hotel right in the center of the old town Connected with glass museum located just next to the Town Hall and the River. Very nice old style hotel, still a moisty earthy smell (the city was flooded last year) Room was good, big (superior room), with old style beed and a small winther garden to sit in.

The hotel has a friendly staff who are assisting with whatever questions/wishes come up. The room was clean and because it's in a centuries old building, small. It looked on the inner courtyard and never noticed any noises coming inside from other rooms or from the streets. The breakfast is at the restaurant on the top of the hotel with... More

A beautiful hotel at a great location. Rooms are traditionally decorated, but Wifi works perfectly. No real lobby if that's what you want. The small double is small, because the bead is large by European standards. Pay more, have a larger room. If I don't stay at this hotel the next time in Passau, I'll still have my breakfast in... Booked a room very late online. Surroundings were very nice, Passau is a great town. We were met by a very friendly receptionist. Gave us a room overlooking the courtyard. Room was a bit small and outdated but ok. In the morning there was no hot water. We had no time to await repair and had to leave. Without asking... More

Many of the other buildings in town are still under renovation, but Wilder Mann appears to be fully restored. The location is good, but parking will be a problem for guests with vehicles. Spaces in town are hourly only; we were directed to a lot across the river for 4 E per day, a 10 minute walk from the hotel.... More

Hotel Wilder Mann has a perfect location. In the center of "Old Town", 50 meter from the Danube. It is an historical place and has been a guesthouse for centuries. A lot of famous people have stayed there, "Sissi" may be the most known. Apart from the location, another highlight is the breakfast room,on the top floor with a wonderful... More

after the June 2013 flood we were afraid our stay would have to be cancelled due to the damages caused by the water. instead we were more than surprised to find the three upper levels of the hotel in perfect shape while passing through the ground floor merely showed the damages that the Danube and Inn rivers had left behind.... While we had a large and comfortable room in this riverside property, it was clear that the June flood had not been totally restored. Furniture was stacked in hallways, the Wifi did not work and the front desk person was less than competent. While we had guaranteed the room with a credit card, upon checkout no card would work with... More
