Traveled by train to Passau and able to walk to hotel in 15 to 20 minutes. Directly on the river and also accessible to shopping district thru the back/front door. Requested a river view room, that was large and very clean. Decor minimalist more Swiss than German. Room was very quiet with windows closed. Remember it was December. Ear plugs... More

Second night on a trip through Bavaria and Austria. Great hotel in the old town. Room was large, quiet and over looked the Danube. Room was ultra modern and spotlessly clean. Staff was cordial and breakfast excellent. Numerous restaurants and cafés within a few minute walk. Would stay here again!

The building dates from the 14 century, although there is only a cornerstone to admire as evidence of its distant past. The 40 or so rooms have three orientations, facing the Danube (Donau), facing a cobbled road into the rest of the Altstadt, or facing center into the light shaft. With the double glazed windows, there was little outside noise.... More

The building is located in the dowtown, one side is facing the Danube and the river promenade, the other side is facing a pedestrian street and a church. You can park on the promenade for 30 minutes to take your luggage to the room. If you are looking for budget-parking, drive to the railway station where you can find parkhouses... More

We had booked a bike and barge tour departing from Passau so we were looking for a place close to the waterfront so that we would not have far to travel the next day. The location was perfect; we watched the tour boats dock from our room overlooking the riverfront. The room was quite large, much larger than one normally... More

We stayed here only 1 day and evening and were very satisfied. Due to a flood reception is on floor 2. The elevator is small so I left my husband on 0 and I went up to register then I got him to go to the room. The rooms are clean and nice, but small. If you are taking a... More

First, the staff was wonderful, friendly and always available to help... even when they appear overwhelmed with lots of tourists asking a lot of silly questions. We had a room overlooking the Danube river (Donau). The room is very spacious, with a large bathroom and tub with a glass enclosure. The room overall is spotlessly clean, both in the main... More

We are in the midst of a very pleasant stay at Passauer Wolf at the outset of our cycling journey to Vienna. Front desk staff (Carmen in particular) so kind and helpful (Carmen made multiple calls for us to our tour company), rooms comfortable and well-equipped, breakfast plentiful and beautifully appointed, and little bar cute and cheerfully staffed (also by... This is a very nice small hotel, which is located at the DANUBE RIVER in PASSAU CENTER. We stayed in the upper floor with the view to the Danube River, and the opposite mountainous side. Although it was shortly after the large floods which affected the hotel, it was an absolutely marvellous stay at this family hotel. We did not... More
