The Passauer Wolf is just what it claims to be, a 4* hotel in the Old Town area of Passau. The four stars are justified, but do remember this is an old property built up a hillside (the main Reception entrance off Rindermarkt is two floors higher than the promenade entrance) so there are odd steps and corners as you... Really great location in this town . Next to the cruise boat moorings and a simple walk into the old town. Smallish room and very small shower . but very well equipped , good breakfast ,. This was our third trip on a trip by bike to Budapest . This was the most expensive hotel so far but the roof... More

Lovely hotel in old town Passau. It is a fairly easy walk from the train station. You can go down along the river, enter, and take the elevator to the second floor (this is where a cab will drop you off as well) or you can walk the pedestrian street toward St Paul's Church. The main entrance on the second... More

We arrived at the hotel to be told the parking space we had booked in October was not available and we would have to park on the road opposite the hotel,we were parked in a 30 minute space to enable people to book in and take their bags into the hotel. We returned to our car to find no spare parking... This hotel is. Next to the walk way along the river.many riverboats are parked nearby. When you walk into the main entrance there are stairs to your left and a elevator at the end of a short hallway. At first we were a little concerned. The main reception was on the 2nd floor.but once up on the reception area it seemed like... The location is unbeatable, right the river cruise ship terminal with one entrance and another one on the 'Altstadt' side. The rooms are very big and well fitted out. Easy walk to the ship terminal if you start or finish your river cruise here. Also direct access to the old part of town, you can stroll to all attractions within... More

Its perfect location in the heart of old city, two steps away from the main attraction of the area - St. Stephan Cathedral, makes it the ideal place to choose to stay. We did appreciate also the friendliness of the personnel, the cleanliness of the place, the good breakfast and its wonderful only suite. All in one word: WONDERFUL!

Traveled by train to Passau and able to walk to hotel in 15 to 20 minutes. Directly on the river and also accessible to shopping district thru the back/front door. Requested a river view room, that was large and very clean. Decor minimalist more Swiss than German. Room was very quiet with windows closed. Remember it was December. Ear plugs... More

Second night on a trip through Bavaria and Austria. Great hotel in the old town. Room was large, quiet and over looked the Danube. Room was ultra modern and spotlessly clean. Staff was cordial and breakfast excellent. Numerous restaurants and cafés within a few minute walk. Would stay here again!

The building dates from the 14 century, although there is only a cornerstone to admire as evidence of its distant past. The 40 or so rooms have three orientations, facing the Danube (Donau), facing a cobbled road into the rest of the Altstadt, or facing center into the light shaft. With the double glazed windows, there was little outside noise.... More
