we stayed at this hotel the night before boarding a Danube river cruise boat. The hotel is centrally located in Passau and within easy walking distance to the train station and all the old city. The hotel room was good but not luxurious - nice bathroom. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful [stored our bags for the day... More

We picked this hotel for its central location and especially for its advertised private parking (on reservation and for a fee). After a long journey it was disheartening to discover at check-in that the staff knew nothing about any private parking, never mind that we had reserved a space. My husband took a positive stance, given that we were parked... More

We stayed here en route from UK to Bulgaria, stayed two nights to rest from the journey and see the beautiful city. The hotel rooms were comfortable with simple furnishings, the only problem was that it was very hot and with no air-conditioning and if the window was left open the noise even from traffic across the river was very... We had dinner here on an evening in September. It was a chilly evening but they had blankets on the chairs.Terrace warmers were not on but at least they were there. We ordered the liver and the Zwiebelrostbraten and it was delicious. Would certainly go again.

The location of the hotel restaurant is lovely, and they have both German and English menus. But the food is not of the quality you'd expect for the prices. I ordered from the spargel (asparagus) menu, a spring specialty, and I got overcooked asparagus with packaged Hollandaise sauce that was virtually inedible. For 10 Euros, I'd expect homemade Hollandaise. The... More

This hotel is situated on the banks of the Danube and is a restored period building. the hotel appears to be immaculately kept, one of the cleanest I've ever stayed at. Rooms are large and most have views over the river Danube. There is a great restaurant we ate twice there once inside and once outside on their Wednesday Bar-b-Que... More

We went to this restaurant based on a recommendation by our cruise director (for a Viking River Cruise). We got there at about 12:30 and the restaurant was packed. After waiting about 5-10 minutes, we got a nice table by the window with a good view over the river. The meals we had here were probably the best of our... More
