We spent 5 nights here during IWA Outdoor Fair. GREAT location near Ubahn and Lorenzekirche Platz. First given room 105, which had window opening on Josephplatz. Even on a Wed night, drunks hollering until 03:30....pounding on cars, etc. (German national sport, I guess.) Biggest issue was cigarette smoke coming under our door due to smoking area in the hallway next... More

If you've been to Nuremberg during Toy Fair, you know that every hotel is over-charging for their rooms. Hotel Avenue is no different, but I didn't seem to mind as much here. For one, you can tell that the owners are engaged and really want to deliver a quality stay. The rooms are small and very typically European in design,... More

My husband & I stayed at the Hotel Avenue for one night prior to joining a Danube River cruise. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had a room on the 5th floor, which had a large bath and a seating area with a small balcony. The room was very clean, comfortable, quiet, and the internet worked with no problem.... More

In addition to the regular German continental fare, the spread included smoked salmon, mozzarella with tomato slices and organic jams such as gooseberry and prickly pear. The location was extremely convenient to visit the downtown shops or Christmas Markt and the room was clean and especially spacious for a European hotel room. All the staff were cordial, smiling and friendly.... More

Upon check in, we were greeted by the employee and her little, very curious dog. Very welcoming and pleasant, she quickly got us on our way to the 5th floor rooms. Corridors were a little narrow and there were some hallways to nowhere (they could reconfigure for bigger rooms, I would think). They gave us actual keys which was fine... More

Stayed here when we visited the Christmas Market. The location could not have been better, just a few steps away from the pedestrian zone, lots of options for dining, shopping etc. The room was nice sized and very very clean. all the staff were very pleasant and helpful, breakfast was good as well. All in all, this is a good... More

I was worried as I read some not so great reviews on Trip Avisor, but was pleasantly surprised by finding just the opposite. Even the photos the hotel shows of their rooms and restaurant space seem less than lovely, but again, it's just the opposite. You can't beat the location for the Christmas Market and exploring the Old Town. It's... More

The Avenue Hotel is right in the heart of Nürnberg, making shopping and touring of the old city just steps from the door. It's about a ten or fifteen minute walk from the train station. Rooms are not flashy-new, but well maintained and perfectly clean. It seems that things were redecorated about twenty years ago, but I really liked the... More

Ideal for a short visit to a fascinating city, because the Avenue is the most reasonably priced hotel within walking distance of all the sights. Rooms are spacious, fresh and clean, and staff are helpful. Nearby multi-storey parking additional but secure. Don't be put off by the approach down a long corridor - it's much nicer inside.

I stayed there while visiting BioFach 2012 (Trade Fair) and I'm very happy about it. I went alone and had a nice room, it was confortable, spacious and very quiet. The staff was friendly at all time, breakfast was good and it had a lot of choices to eat and cleanliness was mostly good. The metro station is really close... More
