I have stayed at this hotel for years while attending the International Toy Fair. Centrally located with close access to downtown Nuremberg, restaurants, shopping etc. And quite close to the main train station which for us is perfect to access the Messe. This hotel was great. Very close to the train station (2 mins walk), the DB museum and the old town just across a very busy road - there is an underpass just outside the hotel for access. Stayed here at the beginning of December 2011 for the Christmas Markets in Nuremburg, Regensburg and Rothenburg. Maritim Hotel is a typically German hotel with good standard, good breakfast, a really nice pub, clean rooms and this is also very close to the old town with a tunnel from the wall, close to train station, 15 minutes with taxi from airport and 15 mins from Die Messe.

For visiting the old city or using the railway station, the location is perfect. Typical modern city hotel which is very efficiently managed even when under pressure from a large conference. Attractive restaurant serving an extensive breakfast buffet whilst dinner menu appeared rather restrictive (plenty of restaurants near-by .... see report for Pillhofer ). Bedroom comfortable and functional.

Just a couple minutes by foot from the train station and across the street from the old town, this is the perfect location. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are decent size. It's nothing palatial but it's clean and convenient. Would stay here again.
