Maritim Hotel, Nurnberg, lived up to our expectations--and more! I booked this hotel because it was within walking distance of the Chriskindlesmartk in the Old City as well as the Hauptbonhof (main train station). It also has a four star rating, which was my initial criteria. From our first encounter with the front desk to our reluctant good-bye, we were... more

Reasonable Maritim hotel, staff spoke excellent english, food was reasonable. Room functional....locationwise its handy for the main station and about a 10 minute walk from the xmas market (best in germany). We had a comfort room with a decent size and a decent bathroom. For the brits, no tea making facilities in the room so everything is room service, but... more

Everything was good. We were travelling in a group but still received individual attention, e.g a choice at dinner and freshly cooked food. Great swimming pool, kept very clean. more

Ok, so it is not the best hotel that I have ever stayed in, but I feel that I got a very good room, with good amenities for a very good price (certainly better than I normally get in the UK). The bed was comfortable, the room was a great size and the seating area was as good as I... more

I visit Nuremberg regularly for business purposes and normally stay at Le Meridien but decided to give the Maritim a try. The food in the main restaurant was nothing special but perfectly acceptable. The big advantage lies in the fact that the restaurant is open until midnight. The hotel room was large and comfortable. I actually liked it, until I... more

Stayed here twice for 1 night each time during the recent World Cup. Integral parking , welcome as always. Lift access to parking and elsewhere slow as basically the hotel needs more than 2 lifts when full. The hotel was completely full both times but the staff conducted themselves in a professional and courteous manner. Rooms of a good size... more

Second stay in this chain. Dumped Le Meridien which is way over the hill, and couldn't get into the sleek ultra-modern Sheraton so went for this. Very 70's outside but staff wonderful, room fine (had a choice of quiet at the back or view at the front over the city but noisy road if you open the window)and restaurant very... more

We stayed at the Maritim in April 2005. The price for a taxi from the Airport was about 15 Euros. The hotel was well situated just across the road from the old city wall, well within walking distance of the old town and main station. We had a courtyard view room (from a choice of courtyard or old town), I... more

It's not as brilliant as the other two reviews suggest. The decor is very 70's and the food in the dining room ( which is always too hot ) is mediocre. The leisure facilities in the basement are very good and the staff are excellent. Very good location and very good bar. Four stars is fair. more

Great little hotel - convenient location, spacious rooms, nice beds. The hotel staff went out of their way to accomodate my early arrival at around 10 am even though the hotel was full the previous night. Downside - no broadband except for the T-mobile wifi hotspot in the labby area. Would stay here again. more
