Enjoyable place...our room was on the top floor, but they had a small elevator/lift.The room itself was nice and clean. The breakfast was filling-meat, cheese, bread, fruit, etc. Great location! Right across from the main train station(Hbf). Safe and enjoyable walk 10 min to "old town Munich". Also great location if you are doing any tours. We did a castle... More

Location was good with easy access to the main shopping area hotel was a little difficult to find as entrance was on a side street, google maps struggled to find the street, the hotel was small but staff were very helpful, it has a lift, the room was small but clean and because of double glazed windows very quiet.

Perfect for a city-break, very close to the city center(5 min. walk) and main train station(3 min. walk), cozy and quiet, Hotel Luitpold is the perfect place to stay when you visit Munich and its surroundings. It was great for us!

Directly across from escalator coming from train station....3- minute max. Room was comfortable and very clean. Bathroom was nice size and very modern. Breakfast was cold cuts, cereal, yogurt, rolls, very adequate. Our only complaint is there was no English speaking TV channels. Front desk said people play with channels and English goes away...are you kidding me. Don't expect any.... More

About a hundred metres from escalator coming out of main station. Really, could not have been closer. From reviews the hotel looked much better than some really seedy hotels in this station area. But I wouldnt go back there again. Our room had a really funny smell. Taking that away I suppose it was okay and was inexpensive, I guess

This was my first stop off in Munich and the hotel is very easy to find due to its good location. It is very close to the train station and withing walking distance of many tourist attractions. My room was small but cosy. I didn't spend much time there as I was exploring the city which is beautiful. Breakfast was... More

Excellent location just opposite the main station. Room was fine and everything was very clean. The bathroom was on the small side but modern and shower worked well. Comfortable bed and had a good night's sleep with no noise from outside, which was great considering its central location. The breakfast room was quaint and in Bavarian style and fine for... More

For first timers to Munich, and straight from a long haul flight, that last thing that a traveller needs is stress in finding the pre-booked hotel. Not to mention that it was the cold winter period in Germany. Luitpold, being located within a 5 mins walk across the main entrance of the train station is of great relief! Never mind... More

Man at reception was very rude, didn't give us the best impression. Old and out-dated, glad we were only there for one night. The location is great, but that's about it. Have stayed in much nicer hotels in Munich for around the same price. Wouldn't recommend

We spent one night at the hotel and given our experience over 7 days in Bavarian region with hotels, found this one to be below par. The location is quite good and it is definitely the brightest (maybe the only) spot of the hotel, walkable to main station and Marienplatz. However the rest, in terms of the room size, quality,...
