The room was clean and modern, the general faciliites were excellent, and it hardly felt like I was staying in a hostel. Highly recommended for travel on the cheap, general rules apply for staying in a room with people you don't know, but they have lockers in the rooms, which is fine. if you can reserve an entire room with... more

The private double bed suite was cozy (with a balcony!). The only problem was with the storage room that was available to place your luggage in before check in. I did have locks on my luggage, but I still didn't feel very secure leaving my suitcase in the storage room. They buzzed people in and out without even looking and... more

It's not as nice as the Wombat in Vienna, but it had everything you'll need from a hostel. Good staff, decent breakfast and good location. Rooms are small though. more

This is the best hostel that I've stayed in so far! It has everything.. great location, great rooms with lockers, indoor garden with awesome hammocks, and it's own bar! Reception is extremely helpful with organizing day trips and walking tours of the city! I would definitely stay here again.. more

The best and cleanest hostel in the world. A great atrium to sit in hammocks and big cushions and surf the net (with your own laptop) for free. Although you pay extra for breakfast this seems to be standard. Each room has its own shower and toilet and there is no smoking in the rooms. The smoke from the bar... more

I am not used to hostels. I avoid them whenever I find a hotel or an appartment for rent in a good location by a reasonable price. Based on my last hostels' experiences, I stayed at Wombat's with no expectations. What a good surprise! The room was not as big as I'd say it would be perfect for 6 persons,... more

Wombats in Munich is by far the best hostel i stayed in this trip. We stayed in a 10 person dorm - it had its own ensuite and was so so clean. The place itself has a great vibe - laid back but also a great party bar. It also has this enclosed outdoor area with hammocks etc which has... more

Stayed at Wombat's on our last night in Europe after a two-week trip and it was everything the girlfriend and I were looking for. For us, the location was excellent. We wanted a room near the train station because we had to go to the airport early, and Wombat's is basically across the street. The price wasn't an issue. We... more

We are not that into partying, but the Hostel bar was fun adn played great music. They have a friendly staff, a lounge room, and free buffet breakfast. We met alot of young travelers (20;s) and all were very cool. They also have a lockable storage lockers and a large luggage room downstairs. There was a drunk single guy looking... more

Having missed a train connection to Austria, I walked out of Munich train station and found WOMBATS down a nearby street. Never having stayed in a hostel before, I hesitantly went in and enquired if they had a single room. They did and it cost 68 Euro per night. The young lady at the desk was exremely friendly and helpful... more
