I stayed here for 3 nights and was not disappointed. The room was clean, comfortable and convieniant. The only thing I didn't care for was the tram that traveled by, it was a bit disturbing but not too bad. I would stay again.

Augusten hotel is an excellent hotel for the money. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is courteous and the rooms a fairly inexpensive. On the down side, the lack of air conditioning in some of the rooms can be annoyingly noisy; the room can get hot which forced us to open the windows and it was noisy. Consequently,... More

Background for my review: I'm not big on fancy hotels with lots of perks, especially on business travel. Although my company has an arrangement with a more upscale hotel nearby, I consider it overpriced for the frequency in which I visit Munich. I'm in Munich for roughly two nights per week, and try to stay in nearby, mid-priced hotels. The... More

I visited Munich for a mainly business purpose. I selected this hotel by reference to proximity to both the main rail station and business purposes. I was pleased that the hotel is really very easily accessed from the Hbf by foot. On arriving at the hotel, the welcome was professional - absolutely no complaints. There could have been proactive advice... More

It's an ok hotel, a bit bland and very minimalistic. So inside it's ok, clean etc. But gosh do they like squeezing every penny out of their customers. The front rooms are about 6m (15feet) from the Tramway. Imagine the noise every 15 minutes. Bad bad sleep. So for my second night (did I forget to mention it wasn't cheap... More

The hotel is clean and modern, but the location is a bit seedy next to casino and strip joints. There wasn't an air conditioner as far as we could see, so opening the window was a must, which brought on the street noise. The staff was ok, not the friendliest though.

If you aren't looking for a fancy hotel with all the bells and whistles, but rather a clean, comfortable, and affordable hotel within walking distance to many sites, this is the hotel for you. The location is great - down the street from the main train station (about 400-500 meters) and an additional 400ish meters from there to Karlsplatz (start... More

Stayed 2 nights in Augusten Munich in May 2014. I particularly love the location of this hotel. Accessible on foot to major tourist attractions, shoppings, as well as central train station. Nice clean room, not big but not too small. Hotel condition was very new and nice decoration and good bed (not to mention that I hate the pillows in... More

The hotel is located really nicely near the railway station. The rooms are very clean, modern and quiet. The prices does not usually include breakfast but there are plenty restaurants near by since this hotel is in the center of Munich. My room was facing inner yard so it was quiet.

We had a very pleasant stay (3 nights) at the Augusten Hotel. Friendly staff, nice room (No. 508, 5th floor) and a central location made it a perfect weekend getaway. One hint though: if breakfast isn't included in your rates, don't bother paying the extra 10 Euros and try Wörners Café (www.woerners.de/herzogspitalstr) instead.
