We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment on the top floor. The 2 rooms were a good size and we shared a bathroom. The apartment rooms had sloping ceilings so you had to be careful not to bump your head in certain parts of the room. This was not an issue for us. The breakfast had a very good selection... More

The hotel staff was very friendly and had everything we needed. Breakfast was more than the standard continental breakfast and we enjoyed it very much. Location is very good and there are stores and cafes near buy and off course the market and the city center. The rooms are quite small but that is to be expected from most small... More

We stayed in the garden room, which was spacious, clean, modern and offered privacy. The drawback was the wi-fi did not reach our room so we had to go to the lobby or sit outside the steps leading to the office. The hotel is 5 minute walk to the Viktualienmart, Marienplatz, and subway station. The tram stop is a one... More

Good, cute hotel near the Viktualienmarkt (which is amazing...s must visit! Definitely have a meal there) but it was nothing special. There is no air conditioning, and it was quite hot when we went. The staff was all extremely friendly, and the breakfast was good...what I have learned is a traditional breakfast as you would find in a German hotel.... More

We visited Munich as part of a Rick Steve's Tour. The hotel is in a good location but in our opinion was awful. The lobby is dark and dirty seeming and the elevator so small that only suitable for suitcases. The room was in the back and overlooked an ally. Room was large, austere white walls, no pictures and small... More

The proximity of this hotel to some of the attractions was great, however, it is not air-conditioned. I imagine that not to be a problem in cool weather, but it was 95 degrees while we were here! Opening the windows to get any relief meant that we heard every plentiful noise from the street as if it were in the... More

Want to be in the heart of the city? This is the spot. Stroll through the Viktualien Markt...grab a beer and a brat in the garden...stroll further...see the Glockenspiel...stroll further to shop in a trendy Euro store...stroll even further...museums with art and history...stroll back...make a stop at the Hofbräuhaus (or other)...stroll a little more slowly back to the Hotel Am... Can't beat this hotel for location, our family of 5 had two rooms and one of the rooms and both rooms were spacious and very nice. One room also had a nice bathroom but the other room had a bathroom that was VERY small, like a small closet and was quite awkward. Our friends had another room on the same... More

This is a nice hotel in a very convenient location for getting around. Rooms are small with wood floors, and clean. Helpful staff. Strong breakfast. No A/C which is common for Europe hotels. Shower good. Small elevator and difficult stairs. Great location in the center. I would stay here again. If this review is helpful then please indicate so below.

This is our fifth stay at this property and the only place we will stay. The location is perfect, with easy access to the Viktualienmarkt and Marienplatz. The staff is very helpful and the breakfast is just enough with the typical yogurt, meats, breads and pastries.
