As with many hostels, you have to expect some issues. That is not to say there there weren't positives. The staff was friendly and bar lively. We arrived early and were allowed to store our bags until room was ready. Long list of rules and possible fines for infractions was unnerving. Location near main station was great to catch different... More

Stayed in 2012 with one friend. Booked a private room and it seems this is the best way to go. Was the same as staying at a budget hotel, had everything we needed, tv, bed, clean bathroom. Breakfast was basic but enough to keep a budget friendly traveller happy. If you are staying in a hostel you should be well... More

I travelled with my friend in February and enjoyed my stay. The hostel is very close to the station and close to a number of restaurants and stores. The rooms are very small, but have an ensuite (very convenient!!). My one criticism is that we payed extra for an all female 4 bed dorm. However, we had to share with... More

I stayed in the 40 bed dorm, which at first I thought was a typo but soon realised, it was all but true. In saying that, considering the amount of people within the room, the layout was done fairly well to make it feel a bit separated and not as if you're literally looking at 39 other people all at... We stayed in the basement dorm which has 40 beds on either side of the main staircase leading downstairs. With so many people in one area there it is inevitable that there is barely any privacy, and with people coming/ going at all hours of the night, you may not get the best sleep if you don't have ear plugs... Was dreading this hostel after reading the reviews however our 4 bed room was perfect, definitely worth the extra couple of quid. It had an ensuite that was very modern and the beds were good, there were also lockers and good really good air con. The bar downstairs is loud and lively giving the place loads of atmosphere and the... More

Stayed in a private room and the dorm. Private room is great, clean with comfy beds. The dorm, conversely, is horrible. Seems almost deliberately so. Possibly the worst dorm I have ever has the displeasure of sleeping in. Springs poking through the mattress, the bathroom is filthy and apparently never cleaned. The staff are lovely and very helpful.

We stayed at Jaeger's for one night and found it to be a fantastic base to use to see the main center of Munich. Our 8 bed dorm was clean with a nice shower and toilet. The wifi worked fine. The laundry was slightly off when we stayed there, we could wash our clothes fine but the drier didn't start.... More

This hostel is less than a 2 minute walk from the main train station, and a 10 minute walk to the main shopping area. The wifi is not the greatest, and mine only worked in the lobby. Breakfast is good (hot and cold food) and reasonably priced for what it is. Very much a party hostel, and the bar area... More

If you don't care about Wifi, this place isn't so bad. It's NOT luxury, not even close so if that's what you're looking for, you won't find it here. You can sleep (very uncomfortable beds), "eat", drink and s*it here, that's it. Great location.
