Easy Palace City Hostel was a great choice for our stay in Munich. Whilst not directly in the city centre or the station, it was about a 10-15 minute walk from both. This was an awful hostel. The staff were blunt and rude, and the rooms were cold and uncomfortable. There was also only one key to the room which meant that when people check in late at night you got woken up to let them in. Bathrooms were unclean and the hostel was very untidy and seemed dirty. Munich is one of the best "base cities" anywhere in Europe. Franz Josef Strauss International Airport is just outside Munich with frequent and efficient train and S-Bahn transportation into the city. It's good enough for any budget traveller - huge rooms (female or mixed) with toilet and shower in each room, plenty of information on tours and discounts. There's great pizza and a McDonald's just next door. If you use the tram or subway, there isn't a better location, but if you want to walk from Munich main station, think twice.... more

I stayed with 3 other friends and we went to Munich to enjoy the Munich Christmas Markets. We had a wonderful room for 4 w/ ensuite. Great location, by metro, and walking distance to all 4 Markets we found. I would definitly stay here again, and reccomend this hostel to others. Clean, safe, and welcoming. more

The hostel is located pretty close to the city center (15-20 min walking) and the metro is just 100 meters away. We oredered 4-beds room ensuite and it was huge, confortable and very clean. The "all-you-can-eat" breakfast was good for its price. The hostel-stuff was kind and helpful. Conclusion: very nice place to stay in Munich. Highly recommended! more

Stayed here for three nighter during the Oktoberfest in a room shared with six people. Its a hostel, of course, and therefore do not expect luxury. However, it is the closest accomodation to the Oktoberfest, is cheap, and both the bar and attached restaurant serve drinks and put on parties until the early hours making it an excellent choice for... more

nice hostel, close to city center (15 minutes walk to marienplatz) and 50 meters to metro station. young staff, but some of the almost grumpy, inexpensive inside bar, nice rooms, very juvenile atmosphere, worth the price. more
