My wife and I stayed at the Laimer Hof for 4 nights at the end of April 2015. Jan was working the reception desk and we clicked immediately upon our arrival at the hotel (could be our shared affinity for Bayern Munich, but he admitted to being a Hamburg fan first and foremost). He was able to answer any questions... More

This is a small, informal hotel - the service is absolutely first class. They made me feel extremely welcome, were attentive withouth being obsequious. Definitely a plus. The room and bed were relatively small, but adequate. I stayed on the second floor - there was no elevator - this is not a problem for me, but it could be with... More

This hotel is not in the heart of Munich but in a residential neighborhood. However, a five minute walk will get you to the tram stop, grocery store, several restaurants and Hirschgarten. The rooms are very comfortable but the staff are what makes this place so amazing. Thanks so much to Sebastian, Tobias and Jan for your wonderful hospitality and... More

Very much enjoyed our 3 nights stay at Hotel Laimer Hof. Sebastian was a great host and very helpful. All the staff were great and were focused on our needs. Hotel is conveniently located just a few minutes walk to Nymphenburg Palace, which was very impressive to walk the grounds and see the beautiful gardens. Breakfast at the hotel was... More

A great find. If you want to be away from the noise of downtown this is your place. Most gracious host and staff. And so quiet at night with the windows open. Considering its location, maybe not that quiet during Octoberfest. Enough to do within walking distance to occupy one day of your visit. Easy access to public transportation.

What a quaint and friendly hotel. We chose to stay just outside Old Town, Munich. This homey place is about a 10-15 min walk from the train, right around the corner from Nymphenburg Palace, and a short walk to the largest Bier Garden - Hirschgarten. The hotel staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was wonderful. We enjoyed a drink... More

Ended up booking this place because prices were so outrageous during our stay (later found out some large conference was in town). So glad we ended up staying here. A precious little property in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood away from the city center, but just a 12 minute tram ride to Karlsplatz (and about a 10 minute walk to the... More

On the plus side, Sebastian was very welcoming; the location was nice and quiet with some decent local restaurants; easy to get into town on the tram or by train; close to one of the beer gardens and Schloss Nyphenburg; on the downside our room was a little small, as was the shower cubicle.

5 of us stayed for 3 nights in early May. The hotel is really nicely located for exploring Munich, close to the tram that is a 15 minute ride into the heart of the city and near a great Beer Garden and Nymphenburg Palace. Also a number of really nice restaurants within a 10 minute walk. Hotel staff, particularly Sebastian,... More

We stayed at Hotel Laimer Hof about three weeks ago when we started a two week trip to Europe. The hotel is in a quiet part of Munich, not far from the beautiful Nymphenburg Palace, and close by a tram stop that takes one to the central city in about 20 minutes. It was a peaceful place to get a... More
