This our home away from home while staying in Munich. We use to stay in Old Town Munich in the small business hotels when several years ago we discovered this hotel. Family owned and operated with truly personal service. Nice clean rooms of ample size with a staff that just can't do enough for you. Great breakfast and drinks are... More

We'd have stayed a week or more if we could have. The hotel is a beautiful yellow Grand Dame situated within walking distance of the several wonderful Bavarian restaurants, and easy access to Munich's tramway. The hotel staff were attentive and helpful, and the breakfast buffet fresh, well-provisioned and served in a bright and comfortable atmosphere. Our rooms were of... More

We only stayed one night here, but would have gladly stayed longer if we had more days. Jan and Sebastian were such a wealth of information and greatly aided us in making the most of our limited time in Munich. The neighborhood is very quiet and the tram ride to the city center is very easy and quick. Breakfast was... More

Positives: Rainy weather had altered our original plans and Sebastian went above and beyond to be helpful with any and all tourist questions. He even helped book our tour times for Neuswanstein/ Hohenschwangau. The hotel’s neighborhood is quiet with a local feel and several good restaurants in walking distance. A short walk in one direction leads to the massive grounds... More

I can't say enough about Hotel Laimer Hof. The location is fantastic...just a few blocks from the Nymphenburg Palace and an easy walk to all transportation. The neighborhood is quiet and residential. We were able to park our rental car easily. There is both on site parking and adequate street parking, as well. The rooms were comfortable and clean. And... More

My family and I stayed for 5 nights. Everyone was extremely helpful from calling about our lost luggage to letting us tag along to the Hirschgarten to watch the Germany-France soccer match! We had a great stay and the Laimer Hof was the highlight. The room was spacious for 2 adults and 1 child. The old town was very easy... More

This hotel is the German version of a 'listed building' and very interesting for that. The room we had was small but comfortable, and the bathroom well-appointed. The neighbourhood is very quiet, but there is a great restaurant and beer garden only a few minutes walk away. Nymphenburg Palace and park are also very close, and the botanical garden is... More

This hotel is a little gem! We stayed for 3 nights with our 2 teenage children and had adjoining rooms. Sebastian was a wonderful host and he and his staff were full of local knowledge as well as how to get the most out of our time there. We drove from Switzerland and getting there was easy; also, the free... More

We stayed at the Hotel Laimer Hof for 3 nights and found it to be an excellent base to explore Munich. It sits in a leafy and quiet part of Munich, close to interesting places to visit and with good access to public transport. There are also a number of good places to eat nearby. The rooms are comfortable and... More

Stayed here for a night on our Euro-road-trip last week. This was our first leg and we were to arrive very late. Sebastian was extremely accommodating and left our key in a lockbox outside with a code. There is parking in the area and it is very safe! He made us coffee in the morning and gave suggestions on where... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
As a young family of hoteliers, Alexandra and Sebastian Rösch took over the Hotelvilla in summer 2003 and in the meantime are managing it as one of the most popular hotels in Munich, according to numerous evaluations by the guests. The neo-Renaissance villa was built in 1886 and is one of the buildings with the longest tradition in the town district of Nymphenburg. The Hotel is very popular for weddings and offers two romantic tower rooms for overnight stays. The location of the hotel is one of the finest in Munich, very close to Nymphenburg Palace, and simply unique. Europe's largest beer garden, the Königlicher Hirschgarten (the Royal Stag Garden), is only five minutes away on foot. Direct public transport connections to all the sights and attractions of Munich by bus, tram and rapid-transit railway can be reached from the hotel in only a few minutes.
