Had a 3 night midweek break with my student son. This family run hotel had everything we needed and in a great location. It is just one train ride from the airport and close to the tram stop for getting into the centre of the city. The reception is manned from 7am to 11pm and they are speak excellent englsh,... More

We had some of the best service we've ever had at this hotel, and it's all down to the gentleman who checked us in. I can't remember his name - I suck at names - but he was friendly and helpful and informative. He didn't just mark the local restaurants on a map, he gave us specific information on things... More

Just what we needed for three nights in Munich tagged on to a holiday in Austria, our first visit to the city. Easy to find. Free parking. Staff amazingly helpful, making bookings for us, explaining the public transport system - the 3 day card for train/tram/bus is a bargain - such that the car never moved again! Smallish room but... Lovely location in a quiet suburb but handy for transport links and some of the key attractions, staff go out of their way to help and their handy little local area map was a real winner with us. Passed on the breakfast option but it looked a good solid offer, room spacious and well-equipped. Having to log back into the... More

We stayed at the Laimer Hof for three nights in early August. We found the staff to be exceptionally friendly and helpful. Sebastian was delightful, and the entire staff was always anxious to assist us, whether it was with purchasing tickets for the local tram, giving advice on nearby restaurants, or loaning us an umbrella because they knew the forecast... The hotel is very comfortable with lots of parking nearby. It is a short walk from some of the top 10 Munich sites to visit including the Hirschgarten beer garden which has Very good food and beer, great atmosphere and good value. The summer palace is only a short walk away as is the number 16 tram that takes you... More

Hotel was great but it's location is the best Munich has to offer...a 15 minute commute to Munich Center...a 10 minute walk to Palace and Gardens but the best and I mean best is the 10 minute walk to Hirschgarten...this is the real Bavaria....and you get that from the minute you arrive at Laimet Hof...staff,rooms,food were all good, and my... Thanks Sebastian & co for being so friendly and welcoming. From this hotel we visited Salzburg & Neucshweinstein castle along with Nymphenburg palace and the nearby beer garden. We wish we had longer to look around. The staff were very accommodating when we realized we made a booking error and had to leave a day earlier; also they were very... More

Great location; although this hotel is not right in the city centre, it is really easy and quick to get there using the tram or underground and, being in a residential area next to the beautiful schloss Nymphenburg, makes it a quiet place to stay. It's also only a short walk to the best beer garden in Munich! The rooms... More

The location is ideal. Remember, it's Europe - not the USA. Let's talk about location - 15-20min walk to the S-bahn (very safe - flat road walk)), 10 minute walk to the Nymphenburg Castle, 10 min walk to many outdoor beer gardens especially the Hirschgarten which is the largest outdoor beer garden in all of Germany. So what you are... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
As a young family of hoteliers, Alexandra and Sebastian Rösch took over the Hotelvilla in summer 2003 and in the meantime are managing it as one of the most popular hotels in Munich, according to numerous evaluations by the guests. The neo-Renaissance villa was built in 1886 and is one of the buildings with the longest tradition in the town district of Nymphenburg. The Hotel is very popular for weddings and offers two romantic tower rooms for overnight stays. The location of the hotel is one of the finest in Munich, very close to Nymphenburg Palace, and simply unique. Europe's largest beer garden, the Königlicher Hirschgarten (the Royal Stag Garden), is only five minutes away on foot. Direct public transport connections to all the sights and attractions of Munich by bus, tram and rapid-transit railway can be reached from the hotel in only a few minutes.
