The facilities are fine and clean and as you would expect for the money. However there is a club in the basement which played heavy dance music into the early hours making sleep impossible. A crowd were below my window laughing and screaming until the early hours preventing sleep also. Kids were running around the corridors (which echo) at and... more

We stayed at thıs hostel durıng oktoberfest so i realized ıt was going to be noısıer than normal whıch was fıne. The problem I had was the fact there was two bathrooms for 400 rooms. The bathrooms/showers were locked often from the ınsıde so nobody else was able to use the bathroom. I waıted outsıde the bathroom for 45 mıns... more

I booked Haus International via an Aussie travel agency, Fanatics. Hostel prices are understandably more expensive during Oktoberfest. I arrived before check-in hours, but felt very comfortable leaving my bags in the luggage room. Hostel is not too close to Oktoberfest grounds/and or Munich city center, BUT Munich public transportation is so reliable and quick, that it really makes no... more

I stayed here whilst on a school trip to the city. I found that the evening meal wasn't up to a high standard. By that I mean the chicken was still a little red towards the middle. If you are to stay here, eat out in the evenings! The basement 'Discotheque' wasn't very good but it might have been better... more

This was the first hostel I've stayed in, so bear that in mind. The biggest weakness of this hostel is its location, it's realistically about 45 mins walk from the Altstadt. If you want to take transit, you have to first take a bus (or walk approx 10 mins) to a subway station, and then take the subway down. i.e.... more

Booked on Hotelroom.com Your typical Hostel but 45Euro for a bunk bed, not really worth it. Stayed here a night for Oktober Fest, if you come from Oktober Fest you don't really mind the room. more

It was loud and smokey. I booked a single room with shared bathroom. The bathrooms, while clean, were not roomy enough to change in and there was nowhere to put your dry clothes/towel; also, the showers won't stay on unless you hold the faucet button down. The hallways got very loud, made worse by the fact that they echoed a... more

My brother, sister, and I stayed here because there were no openings during the world cup. The price was more expensive than normal because of the world cup, but that took place all over Germany. We had a private room with a private bathroom. I did go into the public bathrooms and they were very clean. The hostel did have... more

The Haus International looks nice from the outside. We arrived there and had no problems at check in. We knew that it was a youth hostel and didn't expect too much. We arrived a little early and we went to our room. Staff memebers were cleaning up still so we put our luggage in our room and left for the... more
