I'm sorry to say that my boyfriend and I had a negative experience at the pension westfalia. The building itself is lovely and Peter, the manager was very, very nice, but the walls in the hotel are so thin that you can hear the conversations in every room when walking down the hall, and can hear the conversations in the... more

My boyfriend and I stayed at this Pension in June 2008 for 2 nights. We loved it - it was exactly what we expected. It was about a 10 to 12-minute walk from the major bus/train hub. The area (walking around at night) seemed safe, and there were a lot of friendly people around. The Pension was within a few... more

Westfalia was situated in what was once a mansion and occupied a couple of floors. The room consisted of twin beds plus a settee and small table/chairs, plenty of room. The bathroom was modern. There was a cosy breakfast room and the host was very pleasant. The neighbourhood was nice and there were restaurants & shops within walking distance. It... more

I had a simple and rather depressing room on the second floor (I think the rooms on the fourth floor are better). My room was small, the furniture looked old, the curtains didn't quit fit, and the matress was bad. Bathroom very small (banged my head a few times). The view from my window: an office building that looked in... more

My wife and I were to conclude a combination ground/rivercruise trip with four nights in Munich. With guidebooks telling me that this time of year was "wide open" in Munich I waited too long to book a room and found out that because of a large trade show in town there wasn't a room to be found at any price.... more

We recently visited Munich for the first time and were extremely impressed with the city. What made our trip even more enjoyable was our stay at Pension Westfalia. It is extremely clean and the service is very helpful. The owner provided us with helpful information about the city and its many attractions. It is also in a great location with... more

The Pension Westfalia is consistently good. This was my 4th stay in about 6 years. The rooms are comfortable and extremely clean. The breakfast room is very attractive and the food is more than adequate. The staff is extremely helpful. Public transportation is very convenient---a walk of only 2 blocks to the nearest ubahn station. I highly recommend the Pension... more

Unfortunately you have to contact the hotel directly to reserve a room, but it's a nicely run Pension. I was unable to get a room with a shower, but the place is small enough that you don't have too many people to share with. Beds were simple but comfortable. Room was functional, clean and did have a sink. Biggest downside... more

Three of us stayed here in October and the place was clean, comfortable, and did have a good breakfast. The hotel office is on the 3rd floor and at first we thought we were in the wrong place as the apartments on the lower floors appear to be regular apartments and not part of the hotel. I don't know if... more

This is a great no frills hotel and is a good option in expensive Munich. The beds are comfortable and the location is great with the subway just a block away. The breakfast is just as good as what you will find at the nicer hotels with meat, yogurt, cereal and bread. You should know that you are basically on... more
