I booked Pension Westfalia for my mother and brother for three nights in early December 2009. They really enjoyed their stay: the large double-room was extremely clean and well maintained and it came with a comfortable bed. Hotel is located in a crarming, old elevator-equiped building. During Oktoberfest it may get noisy, cause the soundproofing is not that special. The... more

The whole time that I stayed here, I felt like I should be paying much more than I did. This pension was very charming with good staff. The room was clean and very comfortable. The shared bathroom was also very clean and there was rarely a problem getting the shower key. Breakfast was included and very good. The location was... more

Friendly staff, great breakfast, large room and bathroom. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. Positioned right next to the Octoberfest fairgrounds, and close to the Ubahn (subway access). Great value for the price as Munich can be expensive. more

I'm sorry to say that my boyfriend and I had a negative experience at the pension westfalia. The building itself is lovely and Peter, the manager was very, very nice, but the walls in the hotel are so thin that you can hear the conversations in every room when walking down the hall, and can hear the conversations in the... more

My boyfriend and I stayed at this Pension in June 2008 for 2 nights. We loved it - it was exactly what we expected. It was about a 10 to 12-minute walk from the major bus/train hub. The area (walking around at night) seemed safe, and there were a lot of friendly people around. The Pension was within a few... more

Westfalia was situated in what was once a mansion and occupied a couple of floors. The room consisted of twin beds plus a settee and small table/chairs, plenty of room. The bathroom was modern. There was a cosy breakfast room and the host was very pleasant. The neighbourhood was nice and there were restaurants & shops within walking distance. It... more

I had a simple and rather depressing room on the second floor (I think the rooms on the fourth floor are better). My room was small, the furniture looked old, the curtains didn't quit fit, and the matress was bad. Bathroom very small (banged my head a few times). The view from my window: an office building that looked in... more

My wife and I were to conclude a combination ground/rivercruise trip with four nights in Munich. With guidebooks telling me that this time of year was "wide open" in Munich I waited too long to book a room and found out that because of a large trade show in town there wasn't a room to be found at any price.... more

We recently visited Munich for the first time and were extremely impressed with the city. What made our trip even more enjoyable was our stay at Pension Westfalia. It is extremely clean and the service is very helpful. The owner provided us with helpful information about the city and its many attractions. It is also in a great location with... more
