Despite an initial "just" satisfactory impression the hotel grew on me. Whilst it was quite pricey for a basic room and in my case with breakfast as an extra, the location was undeniably superb and walking distance to all the great local sights, restaurants and bars. The day i stayed was 38 degrees and the air conditioning in the room... More

This hotel is pricey compared to many in Munich. That said, if you are looking for an IDEAL location and want to walk to all of the sights, it's worth every penny. We stayed in July 2014 and put up with construction on the street (loud) and renovations within the hotel (louder) -- but I still give this property the... More

We unfortunately got the wrong hotel. My husband meant to book the Hotel Oper on the recommendation of his German friend and long time resident of Munich. We were pretty surprised to see the dirty carpeting through out the hotel, and the shabby lobby. The carpeting in our room was also dirty, bathroom small, too warm, and limited shelving to... More

As an international traveler, I look for comfort and quiet at the top of my checklist. The comfort features were OK here, and reviews had this as a quiet hotel on a side street in the old city. No one mentioned a bar immediately across the street that has people spilling in and out into the wee hours of the... More

We were a family of 5... So we booked a one bedroom apartment and a deluxe room. The rooms were excellent. And the kitchenette in the apartment is well stocked with utensils. The best part is the location of the hotel... The marineplatz is a 5-7 min walking distance. We were very happy and enjoyed making breakfast in the apartment.... More

The receptionist was a little grumpy and stern but not rude. I like my room very much. It was clean, light and well furnished. The street is very quiet considering its very central location. The Italian restaurant in the hotel was excellent. I would come back here.

We stayed for three nights in an apartment in this hotel (myself, husband and one year old). The hotel was clean and atmospheric with lots of charm. Staff were polite, friendly and helpful. The location is perfect, minutes from Marienplatz with gorgeous beer halls/ wine bars and restaurants close by. Italian restaurant next door serves great food and also has... More

The location of this hotel is superb, just few steps away from Maximilian street and Marienplatz. Rooms are very small but warm and cozy, all hotels amenities are available, check in and out staff were friendly. The surrounding area is full of restaurants and bars, located in old town. I highly recommend the hotel if you are a single business... More

The hotel is very well located. No room service available. Elevator is very small as building in old. Parking is not very convenient as you would expect from an old hotel down town. I would stay in it again but not great for family.
