We really enjoyed the Hotel Eder. The location near the Hauptbahnhof and Marienplatz can't be beat, and being on a side street significantly cut down on traffic noise. Even my husband, a light sleeper, wasn't bothered by cars. The main negative is the lack of elevator -- it is difficult to take large suitcases up the steps. That certainly wouldn't... more

Myself & 2 of my girlfriends were looking for a hotel close to the train station (as we were planning several day trips outside the city) that was at a reasonable price and Hotel Eder fit the bill exactly. We stayed 6 nights total in the triple room on the 4th floor (the 5th floor in the US). The room... more

This is the second year that we have stayed here while visiting Munich. We weren't disappointed. The rooms are clean. The breakfast is really quite nice. It's close to the underground. It's a great value. The street can be a little noisey, but then, where isn't it? We've stayed at other pensions in Munich. And, we would prefer to stay... more

This was my 3rd visit to Germany, 1st time in this hotel, I traveled with my wife and my 1 year baby girl. We took a family room with 2 bed rooms. The hotel is just the best hotel I ever stayed in traveling 7 countries around the word, it is really a very cheap BB in Munich, a great... more

Great value for the money and location. Clean as a whistle. I'm picky about cleanliness and I was impressed with this place. The breakfast is nothing fabulous, and you better get there by 9:45 a.m. before they close it down at 10am on the dot! I would definitely go back. more

This must be the only Hotel in the Munich or anywere in the world which has 4 or 5 floors without an elevator. I was in this hotel exactly 40 years ago it did not have one and now in 2009 it still does not have one. Another first of this hotel are the sizes of the rooms. They are... more

This hotel is about two blocks from the hauptbahnhof, and was reasonably priced at 70 euros per night for a double at the beginning of August, 2009. Clean rooms and friendly staff, average breakfast offerings. We were on the 3rd floor near the stairs, and heard other guests coming and going. All the time. Up and down the stairs, and... more

We stayed in hotel Eder for 3 nights in July. Our experience was excellent!!! The hotel is very cozy, clean and staff is extremely freindly. For example, my husband had lactose allergy and he asked from the owner that is there any lactose free milk or yoghurt on breakfest. They did not have, but the owner promised to go and... more

Good points - great location, rooms clean, cheap. Bad points - rooms on the stairwell and at the front of the hotel are EXCEEDINGLY noisey due to stairs being creaky. If you are on floors 1 or 2 you will be kept awake ALL night by foot traffic. Owner is exceedingly miserable, so don't stay here if you want to... more

We stayed here our last night before leaving Munich because it was close to the train station and affordable. Our room was small for a family of four. The beds weren't very comfortable but they were clean. The area is noisy and active since it is close to the Hauptbanhof so if you want a relaxed atmosphere I would stay... more
