We have visited Munich many times and this time decided to stay at the Hotel Prinzregent am Friedensengel. What an amazing find!! The hotel is located 4 minutes from the centre of the old town and is in easy reach of train, tram and bus. The hotel is absolutely lovely and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. the hotel... More

I did not book the hotel in advance, just popped in and checke in. The staff at reception is very well trained. The hotel is very good and close to the hospital if you are coming to Munich for treatment or check up, and completely worth every cent you pay. Rooms are nice, clean, spacious enough and comfortably set. The... More

We spent a week here in December while visiting all the Christmas markets and other interesting sights in Munich. As others have said, the hotel is not in the city centre, but a quiet residential area with great facilities. Easy access to bus, tram and underground make travelling around extremely easy and speedy. Recommend you purchase a season ticket covering... More

My wife and I just returned from a five day stay at this hotel to see the Christmas Markets in Munich, Salzburg, and Augsburg. It was a wonderful stay to say the least. We have lived on and off for many years in Germany and as such, are familiar with many hotels in large and small cities alike. The hotel... More

My husband and I stayed for two nights in mid-December and used the hotel as a base for a pre-Christmas break. We left our booking a bit late, hence we were a little outside the centre. However there is a tram stop outside the hotel which is very convenient. The area the hotel is in is part-residential, part-'medical' as there... More

This is an unusual hotel with an interesting history. Very near an excellent park and the river for running and within an easy walk of one of the universities. Staff clearly pride themselves on friendliness. Other than breakfast - which is excellent - there is no restaurant but there are at least two within a short walk. Rooms are not... More

This will be our 3rd time staying at this location, and we were excited to get a room. It will be the second time during Oktoberfest. Great location, with the train station just a block over. And the Hofbrau Biergarten is just down the street as well. It is an easy walk to the park, and the old city if... More

We were parents and 3 little children. We enjoyed staying in the family room; we asked for 2 double rooms with a connecting door, which was perfect (2 separate sleeping areas and 2 bathrooms). One of the rooms also had a balcony. The air conditioning was effective. The staff was helpful and nice. They sold Munich travel tickets at reception.... More

This is a small hotel owned and operated by a family for families. It is very clean, reasonably priced, and near, but not in the city center of Munich. Although the rooms are small in comparison to luxury hotel chains, they are perfect for the family or single person looking for nice but economical hotels. The service sets it apart.... More

Just returned home from a five night stay at this property. We arrived at about 11pm. I informed the hotel ahead of time about our late arrival. When we arrived - the clerk had the check in form waiting on the counter. We completed the form and were in our 2nd floor room within five minutes. Our room was spacious... More
