This was my 2nd stay at Pension Seibel. Normally, I do not leave negative comments, but this time I have to. We had booked 2 rooms, plus the aprtment in October,, 8 months in advance of our trip. The 5 members in our group had to move out of the apartment because it had been double booked. Three people had... More

I was there with two colleagues and 31 students, and the 1st thing that struck us was the absence of room numbers on the doors, plus the absence of an elevator - the pension is five-floor high! The receptionist couldn't speak English and it was very difficult for us to work things out. The only pros of this place are: a... More

The Pension Siebel is as its name implies a Pension. In Europe this carries certain connotations. It is usually family run, more often then not it takes the form of a converted house or apartment block and bathrooms are shared. The Seibel fulfills some of these criteria. Bathrooms are not shared(at least ours was ensuite). The location of the pension... More

I picked this hotel due to the location and price during octoberfest. I was expecting the worst given the reviews. I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The people were very friendly and it was so close to the market and any sites that you should see in Munich. Yes, they did not have an elevator and we had to... More

I should have checked earlier reviews before booking - at least to be forewarned about the pension's clear lack of organization in their booking process. We had a similar experience to others in that, when we arrived, they insisted that our reservation was made only for 4 people, when we had email records that clearly requested a room for 6.... More

Overall, we had a decent experience at Pension Seibel. Pros: The location is fantastic! Easy walk to the center of town and many great places to eat. The breakfast was great! Lots of options, well stocked, and included in the room rate. The rooms were adorable - Bavarian influenced and just very cute. Everything was fairly clean and functioned properly.... More

Our experience at this hotel SUCKED. Let me count the ways: 1.) We made a reservation in advance with Booking.com, a site we've used in the past with great success. We reserved a single room for my mother and a double room for myself and my fiancee. Somehow, the double room had "a problem with the reservation" because of some... More

I had to stay here because it was the only place with rooms available during octoberfest. I got a room the size of a broom closet and they charged about 250 dollars per night!! The room was on the third floor, no elevator, old ugly furniture, the guy doing the check-out was VERY rude. There is nothing quaint or bavarian style... More

If you are looking for a bed for the night, in a convenient locatation, run by pleasant helpful people - then this is your place. If you are looking for a place that has a spacious breakfast room, a bathroom with a jaccuzi and a flatscreen TV on the wall - then don't stay here. Ideal for a group of... More
