I was in a tour group that checked into the 4You youth hostel. When I saw the room it was too small, dirty, and noisy so I went next door to the Alfa. Fortunately they had a room with a bed and a sleeper sofa that was already pulled out and made into a bed. The front desk staff were... More

Close to the Main Train station and walking distance from Oktoberfest I really don't know why the other people are complaining. We had a really good experience at Hotel Alfa. The desk clerks were very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. The rooms were clean, the lift worked, although we mostly used the stairs. Our room faced the back courtyard and we... More

The only thing good about this hotel is it's location, 200m from Munich hauptbahnhoff. They are basic, miserable and their room smells. Things that went wrong: - miserable. They charge €20 to give you the remote to use air-conditioning. Otherwise there was no heating or anything else. That was their winter of 0 degrees. Staff said he didn't feel cold,... More

If you want a central hotel near Central station and well-placed for oktoberfest, this is a good choice. Rooms are small and basic and breakfast ok but it's reasonable value. Ten minute walk to central munich and fifteen to theresenwiese.

A great place for a city break. near the station and walking distance of all the sites. very clean and warm. Good breakfast and helpful staff. Staff were able to recommend good places to eat. The breakfast room was warm and inviting though could have done with more staff at busy times. Rooms small but very well lit

Rooms are tiny and the bathrooms are even smaller. Most of the rooms are non smoking, but they all have this cigarette smoke smell, which is awful. I stayed there for 4 times during ISPO and it was always the same. Breakfast is always the same and not much to choose from.

This was the second hotel we stayed at in Munich (some confusion on travel plans had us switch half way through the trip...) and it was an enjoyable experience. Hotel Alfa is VERY close to the main train-station making it very easy to get to any location in Munich. The hotel was clean and quiet for our stay and the... More

We have been staying at the Alfa since 1993 for our biannual Oktoberfest trips. Anton and the staff always go out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The breakfast is good, the rooms are clean, and the location is excellent. It is near the main train station, so just steps away from all of Europe. Walkable to Oktoberfest,... More

This hotel was clean and comfortable. The breakfast had plenty of the usual continental fare. The decor was slightly old fashioned but this made it feel homely. What made it stand out for me was the caring attitude of all the staff. In all, I thought this was good value and I would certainly stay here again.
