Modern hotel near train station and center of Old Munich! Staff is extremely helpful with plenty of great ideas. Very helpful in booking tours, reservations, etc. We enjoyed our stay very much. more

I wanted to stay in a classical elegant hotel and the way it is presented in the pictures is a big lie. The hotel is not classical it is modern and with no character whatsoever. The outside looks terrible and when I arrived I was shocked by the impression. It looked like a bad taste architecture. No class. The interior is... more

Munich has a variety of "best hotels". For me it is the Königshof, the Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski, the Bayrischer Hof, the Mandarin Oriental, the Charles ... in that order. What I like most about the Königshof is that it is frequented by a top sophisticated local crowd, the food is outstanding (Michelin Star), the lobby is very posh, yet intimate,... more

From the outside, the hotel could quite easily be confused with a budget Holiday Inn or Four Points, particularly as it is near the station. However, stepping inside the hotel one enters a wholly different atmosphere and setting from the outside appearance. The decor of the hotel feels French and the lighting is warm. The front check in desk staff... more

We spent 3 nights at this lovely property at the beginningg of the year. Booked through The Leading Hotels website. Got the requested room. A small gift and chocolates were left with a nice greeting note form TheLH The room was lovely as well as the bathroom. Unfortunately the restaurant was working in a 'off-season' mode - which meant only... more

Have just returned from a very enjoyable stay at the Koenigshof, Munich. New Year in Germany is quite an experience! Beautifully furnished/decorated hotel, excellent champagne breakfast, very helpful and pleasant staff. Booked through LHW. Small problems - a "Double " in our case consisted of 2 single beds pushed together, not the first time we've come across this, but insuch... more

We stayed at the königshof for 1 night in July. We have been coming to Munich regularly 2-3 times a year for the past 12 years and tried all different hotels. Now we have finally found one that will become our regular. The hotel is very ugly on the outside but beautiful on the inside. Better than the other way... more

I stayed at this hotel in early Dec. 2007 to visit the Christmas Markets. The hotel was lovely as was my room. Service was great and the front desk staff tried harder than any to accomodate our requests. The bar staff was also wonderfful allowing us smokers to go in early in the morning and get coffee, before they were... more

Based on TripAdvisor reviews coupled with the hotel's status as a member of the Leading Luxury Hotels, I had high hopes for this hotel. While the aesthetics of the hotel interior was nice, the service was terrible: 1) Our room had no heat and it took 5 requests to get it fixed; 2) we were denied an upgrade when the... more

Decided to stay here for the Christmas markets based on selective review of trip advisor reviews...Wasn't sure whether to expect a great hotel or a nightmare. This hotel has a fabulous location - easy walk to the train station for day trips and easy walk to Marienplatz and beyond. The room was lovely and the service was fabulous. Last minute... more
