There is much to like about this hotel: convenient location with a close walk to the metro; friendly and helpful staff; and the best breakfast buffet we had in Germany. BUT the mattress in our "superior" room was so soft and lumpy that we couldn't sleep. We even tried moving the mattresses to the floor, but the room is too... more

We stayed for 3 nights to tour Munich. The location is an easy train ride from the airport and a short walk from the station. Although it's a bit of a walk from the main square, access to the Oktoberfest grounds and nearby underground is fairly easy. We also had no trouble getting the tram to the palace. Rooms and... more

Compared to our expectations based on the pictures on the hotel website, we were disappointed with the Bavaria Hotel. While most of the pictures were of very modern rooms, our room was traditional and cramped (despite paying extra for an "exclusive" room). More troubeling, the "non-smoking" room still smelled strongly of smoke. Additionally, the internet that was supposedly included in... more

We stayed at the Bavaria Hotel for 4 nights in January this year. It is a great little hotel in terms of location and comfort. As soon as we walked into the hotel, we knew we were going to enjoy staying there. Well, we were not disappointed. The room is of good size, clean and comfortable and the bathroom is... more

Stayed for 3 nights in December to explore the Christmas markets located across the city. Hotel was ideal for the Christmas Festival and tents in the nearby Octoberfest grounds, and close enough to the underground to make a good base for the rest of the city. Rooms were clean and smart, bathroom was small but immaculate. Nice breakfast area, with... more

The stay did not start well at all. We booked directly with the hotel, but there was confusion over the room type and an extra bed. In the end we were moved to an apartment within the main hotel building (there is another apartment down the road and across the street). The apartment was very nice. Everything looked new. The... more

We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Bavaria. My room was very clean and comfortable. I'd booked a single room, although it was really big enough for two - apart from the bathroom, which was slightly on the small side. The hotel is only a five minute walk from the U-Bahn stop at Theresienwiese, which makes it very convenient for... more

Bavaria Hotel is a great little hotel considering its low price - modern, clean rooms, friendly service, great breakfast. Its a little way out of town, right across from the Theresienwiese, so perfect if you’re in Munich for Oktoberfest - otherwise it’s one stop from the city by train. Generally the area is pretty quiet so we headed to town... more

We spent a weekend at the Bavaria and regetted not being able to stay for longer. Our appartment (2 bedrooms, living room, kitchen and bathroom) was clean, comfortable and ideal for families who don`t want to eat out every evening. It was easy to walk to the underground and getting around Munich was no problem. Breakfast was excellent and the... more

We stayed overnight at the Bavaria on our way back from holiday. The room was very pleasant and clean, in fact it looked new. There was a safe, minibar, and tv. The staff were very friendly and helpful and made us feel immediately welcome. The bar area was cheerful and modern and there was an amazing screen for watching sport.... more
