Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights to see the Christmas market. Although it should be a high season for hotels in Munich I was able to book 3 nights (Dec 19-21) for 210 Euros via booking.com. Decor was very modern and up-to-date, and we were given an upgraded spacious room with a small kitchen (which was good because we... more

Got a really good rate via hotwire. Bus stop was about a 3-minute walk, closest U-Bahn was about a 15-minute walk. You could walk to the Deutsches Museum in about 15-20 minutes. Grocery store next door was convenient but held odd hours (probably because I was there during a holiday) so it was closed almost 3 days in a row.... more

Both check-in and check-out were quick and the staff is very friendly and courteous. The decoration of the building and the room is stylish and cozy, including the lifts. The corridors are beautiful and the lights turn on and off as you walk over a red carpet. The room is very nice, big and clean, with good blackout curtains and... more

We found a great deal (half-price) on the Internet (Travelzoo) so basically, we were staying in a four-stars hotel but paying for a two-stars ! The hotel was super nice and clean and the staff was extremely helpful ! We stayed two nights and we recommend it. Located about a 20 minutes walk from the train station (or 10 Euros... more

This hotel was as close to "american standards" as one could get. Newly furnished, and all the amenities to incude a small kitchenette. Location is little off the beaten path to tourist attractions, but room compensated for this issue. Secured parking, which was free. Four star hotel. The ISSUE I have with this hotel is that all this was overshadowed... more

Friendly and helpful staff. Great, comfortable apartment like room with cooking facilities and big, windows. Luxurious bathroom. Hotel had a small but well equipped fitness room. Fantastic breakfast, they even served Prosecco! Bit far from the city centre but therefore you had some great untouristy spots nearby. more

Friends and I stayed here during Oktoberfest and based on the price, I expected much more. It was around 250 euros a night for a suite with "sleeper sofa" which ended up being a regular flat sofa that every other room had which they put sheets on to make into a bed for the third person in our room. Room... more

I highly recommend the Derag. The hotel is conveniently located - from the Hauptbahnoff you can take the bus (58) and alight, after about 6 or 7 stops / 15 mins, just around the corner from the hotel. There is also a bus (151 or 153, I think) connecting the centre of Munich (Marienplatz) to the hotel - about a... more

I decided to give this hotel a chance, although I usually prefer to stay somewhere more central. This was apparently a stroke of luck because it turned out to be an excellent choice. The location is great - there is plenty of parking space on nearby streets, a huge park at a stone's throw, and hardly 15 min walk to... more

The DERAG Hotel Prinzessin Elisabeth can be recommended to the business traveler as well as to tourists. There is a direct bus taking you from Munich Main Station (München Hbf) to the hotel within 13 minutes. The nearby park along the River Isar invites you for a walk or for running. The famous Deutsche Museum is just a 15 minute... more
