Was there for a one night stopover before flying to NYC from Munich. Pros: very friendly staf in small, intimate hotel. Front desk cedes to a grand library/drawing room lined with books , puntuated by music, and a small bar. Hotel is well-located and very reasonbly priced. Rom was clean, but small and dark. This is probably not a fair review of the Splendid Dollmann because its our only experience in Munich. We stayed here for 5 nights this year whilst attending a medical conference in Munich. What a wonderful hotel! We stayed here for 3 nights and loved it--beautiful reception area, very nice room on the 3rd floor, very clean bathroom...the front desk staff were always very helpful and friendly, and they have wireless internet access that's pretty inexpensive--when I had trouble getting it to work with my ipod, they worked it out on the computer... more

Sophisticated small boutique hotel in quiet "posh" area called Lelhel (sp?). Very near Maximillian Strasse and only a short distance from Marienplatz. Quite a find in a busy central location.
