I have stayed at Hotel Admiral several times over the past 13 years. The owner, Kevin, and his staff are always very friendly and helpful and always give me a warm greeting. The location is good, only one S-Bahn stop from Marienplaz, which can also be reached with a short 10 minute walk. There are many good restaurants very close... More

My wife and I just completed a trip that included a stay in Munich. I'd used a variety of sources to select a hotel. We typically avoid chain hotels and very large hotels. The selection of the Hotel Admiral was fortunate. It is a very well located hotel on a quiet side street very near the Deutsch Museum. The facade... More

This hotel is really good, and has a very fine atmosphere. The rooms are relatively large and are well furnished, and the beds are really good. The breakfast buffet is really good, and allows the guests to get almost anything (even though they do not have a "egg station" is very good). The location is perfect, if you need to... More

My husband and I stayed here with son and girlfriend the last two days ofDecember ringing in the New Year in Munich. While the hotel was OK and bed we comfy just couldn't find anything particularly noteworthy about it. The location is ok but not many restaurants nearby. There's no bar or restaurant in the hotel. Breakfast was provided and... More

Our flight arrived early in the morning when hotels are usually unprepared to make a room available. To make matters worse, my 4-year granddaughter had given me her cold and I wasn't feeling especially fit when my wife and I showed up at reception. Hotel Admiral made heroic efforts and after thoroughly enjoying the hotel's wonder breakfast buffet, I was... More

My husband and I visited Munich in December to see the Christmas Markets and chose to stay at Hotel Admiral for 3 nights. On arrival after a long flight from Australia the receptionist greeted us very warmly. The reception area is a little small but very classy looking. Our room was a good size and overlooked the road side. We... More

We stayed at Hotel Admiral this past December. It is an old quaint family run hotel, very clean, very efficiently run. One can see the pride and care brought about by the staff. Great location, close to S-bahn, trams, supermarket and many points of interest e.g. Isartorplatz, Viktualienmarkt, Marienplatz with its glockenspiel, Asam church are all within short walking distance.... This is one of my favourite hotels anywhere in the world, great service, excellent staff and always a good breakfast. I have used this hotel for both business in Munich and for visiting the Christmas market with family. It is tucked away in a quiet side street but close enough to be able to walk into the city centre. The... More

The hubby and I stayed here Christmas Eve night. We arrived around 9am in coordination with our plane/train arrival. For the first time ever, I was air/motion sick and was so incredibly grateful that our room was ready for check in that early. The gracious front desk gal even offered us the buffet breakfast. After a few hours rest, we... More

We stayed here for 3 nights at the start of December, visiting the Christmas Markets. The hotel is in a quiet street a short walk from one of the main shopping streets. It is a 'boutique' hotel, very clean and presentable. We had 3 single rooms, which were fresh and comfortable, including the beds. The highlight was the breakfast buffet... More
