We stayed at Hotel Antares in July 2015. Pros Great location between the Pinakotek museums and the historic center. Easy walk to everything Very good breakfast buffet Onsite parking Price is competitive for Munich Extremely nice bathroom; extremely! Friendly and helpful staff Cons Onsite parking is via a tiny, tiny car elevator - maneuvering your car into the racks underground... More

We are family of four 2 adults and two kids and stayed 4 nights in triple room. Room is very small and beds were not comfortable. However room was clean. Complementary breakfast was good. Parking is very narrow and will find it difficult to fit big car. Hotel is near the downtown which is very important advantage. Hotel staff were... More

An ideal hotel if you are looking for a 4/5 night break. Very clean and comfortable. Bedrooms on the small side but perfectly adequate. Excellent breakfast to set you up for the day. Staff very obliging and cheerful. Quiet location about 15 mins. walk to city centre

The hotel is centrally located. Easy walk to the ubahn and marienplatz. The rooms are small, but every room I've ever stayed in in Europe is small. The service at this hotel was, bar none, the best we have ever received. The manager and Natalie at the front desk helped us rebook our flights home, booked us a taxi back... More

The room was clean and in good condition. The breakfast was sizable, and I can't complain when pretzels are served at breakfast. Overall, this is nothing fancy, but the location is great. 5 minute walk to the Ubahn, 5 minutes to the English Garden, tons of restaurants around. I'd stay here again.

We liked the location (easy walk to Marienplatz) and staff. However, the room was very hot (no a.c.), so we had to leave the windows open - and were then kept awake by street noise, which continued intermittently all night and into the wee hours. It was reasonably priced for Munich, so if a little noise doesn't bother you or... More

We were looking for a room for two adults and two teens. They had a single room for a good price, including breakfast. Overall, the hotel is quite small, and our room did need a bit of an refurb, but the staff were friendly and helpful. We found walking to the old town, or to the art museums very easy,... More

I recently stayed at the Antares with a group of friends and students of mine. Their feedback showed that they were all very satisfied with our stay at this Hotel. The positives begin with the location. Just a short walk away from Odeonsplatz, it offers a convenient starting point for exploring Munich. Even attractions that at first seemed relatively far,... Let's get the negatives out of the way first. The hotel is not air conditioned and has expensive WIFI. However the positives start the moment you walk through the door. The check in staff are friendly and welcoming, the rooms are clean with an incredibly comfortable bed and the buffet breakfast has a large variety of hot and cold choices... More

Greatly located in the heart of the university district with many cafes, restaurants, and relaxed atmosphere around. My room was tiny, clean and quiet. Even if it was a smoking room, I did not feel any bad smell there. The staff is nice and extremely helpful, the breakfasts are great. There are two problems: paid internet, which can be used...
